TL;DR

Highlights

[3:03] Lily, the bacon, and an hour and a half of animation. Woof walked through how he's making his Lily clips โ€” 20 individual stills animated and stitched together for a two-and-a-half-minute video โ€” and Margie confessed the one where Lily calls him "daddy" on the way home for bacon got her properly mushy. Real Lily, for the record, growls at him every morning until the bacon treat arrives. The origin story of how Lily was acquired also surfaced: one very festive night at a Mexican place with Meow and an alarming number of margarita buckets.

[5:19] The towels were not in the refrigerator. Woof diagnosed his own tiredness after going downstairs for laundry, opening the fridge, and standing there wondering where the towels were. He reported the finding to Meow, who asked the obvious follow-up question, to which he had no answer.

[6:32] The serious ask of the night. Margie made the case for checking on people who go quiet โ€” a member hasn't posted since August 29 and told her he's felt unnoticed after hosting many spaces himself. Her point: people assume someone else is reaching out, or don't want to intrude, and meanwhile a single "hey buddy, we miss you" would do the job.

[15:03] The taco anthem. The show got a bespoke AI-generated intro track โ€” "Ladies and gentlemen, grab your tacosโ€ฆ check your microphones and protect your dignity" โ€” casting Margie as the questioner, Woof as chaos and Ryan as confidence, with a chorus about being blinded by love and dropping taco meat on your knees. It set the tone accurately.

[26:27] The koala logistics problem. Margie's charity pitch โ€” rides on Jobu's back, Uncle Corvus distributing pouches of poop for your curio cabinet, koala hugs at a grand a pop โ€” ran straight into Australian reality. Uncle Corvus wanted to know how exactly she planned to obtain a koala, noted he's not catching a wild one, and, when Margie started packing floor mats, a cooler and a crock pot for the bush, pointed out there are no Sherpas: whatever you can carry. Her proposed kit of coffee, mosquito repellent and a taser also hit a legal snag.

[36:13] Connecticut is not a normal place. Stuck on the longest-running newspaper in the US, Woof got the hint "it's in Connecticut" and objected that this was of no help whatsoever, before gambling on "the Connecticut Times." Uncle Corvus offered "Connecticut classifieds." The answer was the Hartford Courant, which Margie freely admitted she'd never heard of either.

[38:19] A birthday, and a brief AARP incident. Woof raised his hand not to answer but to wish Chun a happy birthday, describing her as his favourite Filipino person and famous Filipino grandma, then dug the hole deeper with the old-people insurance she's now claiming on and the discount Tuesday bananas. Margie sang the birthday song anyway and told Chun to rock on to the end of the year.

[54:14] The recycled-question audit. Woof began flagging repeats โ€” "the last three are ones we used before, we're back to recycling already" โ€” and kept counting. Margie's defence was that she runs two spaces back to back, always gives a disclaimer, and that a question asked once may reappear later, so bring your thinking cap. Her ruling on protocol was unambiguous and delivered with love. By the Wellington question the tally was six, and Woof compared the disclaimer defence to announcing a stabbing in advance.

[1:00:21] Host management via taser. Margie mused aloud about whether there's a button to remove a co-host, then mentioned that if Woof and Uncle Corvus want her to keep co-hosting their morning spaces they might give her some slack. Both men noted, for the record, that this felt like a small threat. Uncle Corvus spent the next question warning the room it was a trap and instructing everyone to back up.

[1:41:41] Fear of Barney. After the room threw everything at porphyrophobia โ€” clogged pores, rainbows, salamanders, Telemundo on Tuesdays, giraffes โ€” Margie dropped the hint "it has something to do with Barney the dinosaur." Woof got purple, then volunteered his standing opinion of Barney, which was not affectionate.

[1:56:47] The poll nobody expected. With the clock at 9:57, Margie pivoted from marbles and crayons to a show of hands on who's watched porn, "for a friend," and then onto skinny dipping and home videos. Ryan's answer โ€” "not that I know ofโ€ฆ I didn't film anything, but you never know" โ€” and Uncle Corvus's straightforward share that he'd cut it out six or seven years ago both landed without fuss, and Margie used it to loop back to the "blinded by love" theme: honesty, not settling, and protecting yourself.

[2:04:19] Awards, and the close. Uncle Corvus lodged a polite claim to the win ("I was counting in my head"), disputed only the snail question, and got the title. Margie thanked the room, announced tomorrow's Life After Death space, and spoke about health scares, walking away from a toxic marriage, and finding people in Web3 โ€” before the outro track summarised the evening as a total educational failure and saluted "the smartest bunch of idiots gathered here."
