Taco 🌮 Tuesday Episode 13: "Blinded by Love"
Host: Margie B (@B4Margie) · Co-hosts: Woof (@WoofArmyXX), Ryan (@RyanJ8812) · Tue, 18 Aug 2026 · 1:49:27 · ~5 active voices
TL;DR
- A low-stakes, high-banter Taco Tuesday: Woof (@WoofArmyXX)* spun a few Spanish-language love songs to open, then Margie ran a marathon fast-food/movie trivia block, then pivoted to "Blinded by Love" relationship questions.
- Ryan (@RyanJ8812)* was the trivia MVP — Big Mac, Arby's, Subway, Ray Liotta, Dr Pepper, and a clutch "1939" for the first televised baseball game.
- Cadarn (@RendCadarn)* got repeatedly (and affectionately) accused of Googling answers, especially after nailing that a Twinkie is 68% air.
- A genuine warm moment: both Woof ("learn to walk again") and Ryan ("quitting drugs and turning my life around") named their real proudest accomplishments.
- Uncle Corvus (@unclecorvus)* popped in for a quick hot-flash cameo and left on a running "dots, not feathers" bit.
- Housekeeping: Margie plugged tomorrow's 8pm EST "We Are Done Second Guessing" Space with the same co-hosts.
Highlights
[5:05] The leaking-AC saga. Margie explained her mystery bedroom water turned out to be a leaking third-floor AC unit, which she troubleshooted from the manual, then tilted, then nearly fell off while towel-stuffing the window — clipping her temple in the process. The medical follow-up: a pulled back muscle and a backside that "feels like somebody spanked it," which Ryan diagnosed as sciatica over her objections.
[7:56] Woof's love-song sets. Woof cued up a run of Spanish-language romance tracks to fit the "Blinded by Love" theme, drawing a "made me kind of want to eat tacos" review from Margie at [17:14].
[19:17] Trivia opens strong. Ryan immediately banked the Big Mac (1968), then rolled through Arby's ("we have the meats"), Subway, Field of Dreams' Ray Liotta, and Dr Pepper as the oldest US soft drink.
[21:57] "Somebody needs a brain." Margie's hint for Pizza Hut's birthplace was a cryptic "somebody needs a brain" — Wizard of Oz → brain → Dorothy → Kansas. Woof's protest ("How is a hint hint Kansas?") was fair, but Cadarn quietly got it.
[33:41] The great ice-cream-egg standoff. Told eggs were a main ice cream ingredient, Woof "put my one good foot down" and called BS. Margie held her ground with a lengthy egg-yolk-vs-egg-whites, store-bought-vs-real defense. It stayed friendly; nobody conceded.
[36:26] 68% air. On what percentage of a Twinkie is air, Cadarn guessed "six... eight" and landed the exact 68%, prompting Ryan's very reasonable "why wouldn't they just round that shit up to 70%?" and another round of playful cheating accusations.
[1:14:27] The sincere stretch. Asked for their greatest accomplishment, Woof said "learn to walk again" and Ryan said finishing university, then "quitting drugs and turning my life around." Margie, who has her own walking-recovery story, praised Ryan for owning it out loud: "quitting the drugs is part of the battle, but owning it is more of the battle."
[1:17:27] Uncle Corvus cameo. Uncle Corvus dropped in for a "hot flash in the pan," reported the girls in the audience were cracking up at the trivia, christened his alternate name "Eduardo Carruccio," and bounced with "peace, love among beans."

Who said what
- Margie B (host, @B4Margie): Ran the whole show — trivia quizmaster, relationship-question MC, and chief dispenser of chancleta threats and mock discipline. Warm, chatty, and the source of most tangents.
- Woof (@WoofArmyXX)*: Music curator and co-host, deadpan foil to Margie, defender of the anti-egg ice cream position, and steady trivia contributor (almonds, KFC, saffron, Baltimore Colts).
- Ryan (@RyanJ8812)*: Trivia standout and the more grounded co-host; delivered the show's most sincere moment about turning his life around.
- Cadarn (@RendCadarn)*: Good-sport speaker perpetually (and jokingly) accused of Googling; landed Peking duck, the Twinkie percentage, and mousse.
- Uncle Corvus (@unclecorvus)*: Brief drive-by cameo bringing energy and the "dots, not feathers" running gag.
- Meow (Woof's wife, offline behind him): The invisible lifeline — fed Woof correct answers on Fabri College, Kirk's middle name, and the Pretty Woman Lotus.
Worth a full listen
- [33:41]–[37:20] — The ice-cream-egg debate straight into the Twinkie-air question. It's the room's chemistry at its best: a stubborn factual standoff that never sours, capped by Cadarn's improbable 68%.
- [1:14:27]–[1:15:30] — The one stretch where the banter drops and the accomplishments answers turn genuinely heartfelt; the summary can't carry the tone.
- [1:17:27]–[1:18:20] — Uncle Corvus's whole 50-second cameo, best heard than paraphrased.
