Re:Building Together EP 310 — Torta Tuesday
Host: CEELOS (@CEELOSFIGG) with co-host Baked (@Bakedmetax) · Tue Sep 1, 2026 · 50:32 · 5 speakers
TL;DR
- A loose, off-week hangout episode: CEELOS is on vacation, so the "meeting" more or less happened live on mic.
- ValerieKates gave the room her NFT NYC field report — the Quirkies event and the Good Company dinner, where she met Jed, Lynn and Liz.
- Running theme of the night: being camera-shy at IRL events, and a pitch for coded wristbands so photographers know who not to post.
- Green Visor Gang's Playful Primates reveal will have physical pendants attached to some NFTs.
- Housekeeping ideas floated for the show's upcoming one-year mark: rename to "RBT + episode #," put topics in the title, and add a Friday game day (Mad Libs, Among Us).
- SLICK RIC checked in from the mend — busted back, pain meds, and a night out ahead to see J. Cole.
Highlights
[5:31] Opening the 310th episode. CEELOS kicks off Torta Tuesday and marks the day a jury finally convicted someone in the killing of "Machiavelli the goat" Tupac Shakur — "twenty-nine years, three hundred and fifty-two days" later.
[6:11] The In-N-Out incident. CEELOS reports arriving to the Space full — four burger patties deep — and delivers the night's first grievance: the bread was inexplicably tough. Tasty as ever, but not the burger he'd choose to represent his city. "That would be original Tommy's."
[9:23] Val's NFT NYC recap. Fresh back in Vegas, ValerieKates recounts a 24-hour New York run: the Quirkies event and the Good Company dinner at a downstairs art gallery, where she met Jed, Lynn and later Liz (a notably "dainty" handshake). She'd deliberately gotten her food first so she wouldn't be photographed eating.
[10:00] Dox before you show up. CEELOS makes his recurring case that people should reveal their faces well ahead of IRL events, because the brain builds a face from someone's voice, vibe and PFP — and it's "never" right. Val, meanwhile, spent the whole dinner dodging the photographer and still landed in the group shot.
[13:00] Coffee labels and a fat Chihuahua. CEELOS explains his thermal-printed coffee-bag labels featuring his NFTs — LT3, four versions of his regen — his regen being the fat Chihuahua meme he now dresses up (Rams jersey, One Piece outfit). The pending debts of the show also surface: Baked still owes Val trading cards; Val still owes CEELOS and Crystal their mail.
[14:29] Playful Primates pendants. Val notes Green Visor Gang's Playful Primates reveal will attach physical pendants to some of the NFTs, adding a wrinkle of luck to the mint.
[28:53 / 29:15] The raise-and-weight-gain bit. CEELOS confesses to a new "tummy" and 40 pounds — traced to finally having a job that pays. Val relates: "That's when me and Matt gained a lot of weight, when we started making better money." His wife, he reports, loves the new "dad vibe."
[40:17] The LAX near-scuffle. CEELOS recounts nearly coming to blows exiting a plane at LAX when he heard a man throw expletives at Crystal — "Korea Town Celos came out for a little bit" — before everyone walked out fine and no-fly-listed nobody.
[45:52 / 49:09] Slick's back and body art. SLICK RIC says the back has him "going mentally insane" without his usual outlet, and recounts the tech at his appointment cheerfully poking his heavily tattooed body — "hurry up and get this shit over with." He's off to see J. Cole, whom he rates well above a string of live disappointments.

Who said what
- CEELOS (@CEELOSFIGG, host) — running the room on vacation; delivered the In-N-Out review, the coffee-label bit, the dox-ahead-of-events pitch and the LAX story.
- ValerieKates (@valeriekates_) — the night's correspondent, back from a whirlwind NFT NYC; camera-shy protagonist and travel-schedule marvel.
- Baked (@Bakedmetax, co-host) — checked in late and sunburnt after eight and a half hours on a roof; still owes Val those trading cards.
- SLICK RIC (@richj530) — dialing in through a bad back and pain meds; provided the tattoo-appointment story and the J. Cole endorsement.
- toomazingTM (@TooMazing265) — referenced as a fellow DJ and regular; not a significant voice this episode.
Worth a full listen
- [9:23]–[15:13] — Val's full NFT NYC download plus the dox/photographer thread: the specific names, venues and the coded-wristband idea land better in her own telling.
- [27:03]–[31:33] — The stretch on the Dented Goons shirt, weight gain, and CEELOS's skateboarding injury is the warm, self-deprecating heart of the episode.
- [49:09]–[50:32] — Slick's tattoo-appointment story and rapid-fire concert rankings close things out with the night's best deadpan energy.
