LT3 #125 — Being Creative

Host: Superhighgasfees (@SHGFees), with cohost Sho (@AgogoKaren) · Fri, Sep 11 2026 · 1:11:32 · ~7 speakers

TL;DR

Highlights

[9:48] — The sad camo pillow ad. Super described his day of Web2 content duty: a black-and-white video, a sad song, a vibe he summed up as "being abandoned or left alone." It did not go viral. He's fine with that. Sho's immediate review, minutes later: "how are you gonna sell them if you do a little sad thing? Come on." [10:11]

[11:34] — Drop mechanics, briefly settled. Super floated dropping the camo pillows on both platforms at once given the Fugs reaction; Sho vetoed with "No, no, sir, no sir, no sir. Give us minutes first," then walked it back to a reasonable ask: no discount needed, just a 30-minute head start for Web3 [12:04].

[15:20] — Creativity as the actual business model. Super laid out the thesis: LT3 was a free mint that "could have been straight to zero," and what kept it alive was the care in the art and, later, three people making content with no ad spend. He gave heavy credit to Jack, who he thinks could be "a Mr. Beast type of person" except the shocking stunts are sculptures — and who once molded soil around a chair, watered it, and cleared roughly a hundred million views across reposts [41:12].

[22:01] — The alley-oop. Burningbush came up claiming he struggles with being creative and just wanted to learn from the experts. Super called it: "if you can take a page viral, there's some sense of creativity in that." Burningbush admitted the setup — "I was throwing up an alley oop for you guys" [22:46] — while Sho, less strategically, declared herself the least creative person in the room and settled in to listen [23:24].

[25:47] — Marc o-matic on the yard. He doesn't draw or sculpt, but his garden is built with different flowers, colors and shrubs that bloom at different times, and he argued that's art. He extended it to collecting: not buying floors, not overpaying, but hunting specific pieces, talking to owners, working trades. Super had already flagged it — he can spot a Marc o-matic purchase coming through the sales bot [26:21].

[28:02] — Metakiddo on solitude and AI. His framing: creativity is putting your own view of the world out in public and learning from what comes back, and it requires "a little bit of solitude… even if it's not like with people, like mental solitude." He then took the less popular seat on AI [32:00], saying that in artist Discords it's a triggering topic, but that watching someone who can't draw finally get an idea out of their head makes him happy. He tied it to himself: he used to be too scared to speak in Spaces, and now he's here every week.

[35:49] — Dan's prism. The longest uninterrupted stretch of the Space and the best. We're all born wildly creative; life changes the shape of it. Every mind is a prism, and the signal comes out as martial arts, painting, dancing, "being creative with finances." Then the story: at eight or nine, an elder woman flipped through a book of portrait photography, covered one half of a model's lit-and-shadowed face, then the other, and told him people are both — "and if you look at it together, it's one composite" [38:42]. He credits that with letting him accept dark creativity and light creativity as one spectrum.

[49:07] — Cadarn arrives and notices the silence. He hopped up mostly to point out that Super had been carrying the entire Space solo while "Grandma Sho is just looking and learning" — "It's really unfair. It's really unfair to be honest." Then he made his case: creativity is lateral thinking, bringing something new out of something old, and getting up after whatever the day threw at you.

[51:01] — Does pain breed creativity? Super opened with poems that poured out of him after a breakup, an emotional register he can't access on an ordinary Tuesday. Burningbush answered from a different angle entirely — growing up extremely poor, finding creative ways to make money, feed people and entertain kids, with his father's phrase as the through-line: "adapt and overcome" [53:16]. Metakiddo went furthest [57:06], calling sadness the one emotion that leaves no room for distraction, and illustrating it with a mother whose child ignored a roomful of toys for a cardboard box — because the toy car already tells you what it is, and the box doesn't [1:01:25].

[53:04] — The Sho and Burningbush situation. Burningbush got one word into his answer before Sho said "Shut up," which he later folded into the topic: "speaking of pain, I have to get creative on ways to shut Sho up when she's talking over me." Sho was meanwhile being thumbs-downed in real time and in her DMs ("He's not so creative with that" [54:29]), Burningbush announced he was building a tool to pump streamed audio into Spaces ("Working on that in the back channel, so I'm not creative though" [54:38]), and Sho's contribution to the English language got its name [55:37]. For newcomers, Sho clarified the whole thing is fun — Burningbush clarified it's fun for her.

[1:05:53] — Dan's exit. He came back to say goodbye and left a genuine one: LT3 is one of the most creative projects he's seen in Web3, a collection he can scroll where every piece "hits a different dimension" of him, and if you don't have one, go find the one that hits you in the heart. That prompted Super's small taxonomy of praise [1:06:55]: he likes being complimented, but "glaze" means something specific and stronger. Dan noted he'd worried the word might trigger Burningbush, who had by then left — to pick up his kids, which Dan reframed as there being duplicates of him loose in the world [1:08:01]. Super briefly thought he meant clones.
