LT3 #79 β€” Everything Ends

Host: Super (@SHGFees), with cohost Sho (@AgogoKaren) Β· Date: Wed, 22 Jul 2026 Β· Duration: ~1:25:08 across two parts Β· Speakers: ~11

TL;DR

Highlights

[P1 4:09] The sleepiest cold open in NFT Spaces. Super came in late and owned it: "I fell asleep for like fifteen minutes… I'm cooked." Sho clarified for the record that he'd nodded off while she and Sam were talking.

[P1 11:21] The room refuses to let it go. StarDawgs claimed Super had come up to the stage while asleep and that they'd heard snoring; Sho added the detail about slobber dribbling down his face on video. Super: "I'm digging my hole deeper by continuing to acknowledge it."

[P1 15:13] Sam confesses he's done it too. Reassured that mid-space naps are a grand old tradition, Sam admitted he fell asleep hosting his own room "two sniper Sundays ago," and described the old days when "the survivors would have to collectively yell into the microphone to wake up the people that fell asleep."

[P1 16:37] Sam reads the LT3. In a long, Bob Dylan–flavored riff, Sam connected the piece to his first quirk's "contemplative" expression and the punk-rock (Nirvana) shirt β€” the armor versus what's going on underneath. "Everything passes, everything changes, just do what you think you should do."

[P1 20:00] Lyss calls in from the airport. Standing in a chaotic JFK, Lyss shared that her day had flipped in twenty phone calls β€” her father had collapsed and she was scrambling onto a flight. She tied it straight to the art: "I feel like I'm at LT3 at JFK right now." She thanked Super for holding heavy topics, and for getting comfortable "with other people being uncomfortable in your space."

[P1 27:00] Chicken Wizard's rainbow. He told of a teenage summer in Santa Fe when, wishing on the sky for "something truly spectacular," he watched what looked like a comet streak a rainbow across the sunset β€” a memory this LT3 brought roaring back, folded into a reflection that endings made room for the daughter and life he loves now.

[P1 43:53 β†’ P2 1:29] Everything ends, live. After Slick Ric signed off with James 1, Super went quiet β€” the room joked he'd fallen asleep again. He hadn't: his power had cut and the Space ended. Sho reopened a new room, and someone noted the obvious: "What a better example about everything ending."

[P2 8:00] Astro's story. In the second half's centerpiece, Astro shared the loss of his daughter last January at two and a half, to stage-four cancer. He was honest that his usual optimism failed him here β€” that grief is "selfish," always circling back to what I wanted β€” and that "everything happens for a reason" is a thing he can no longer say lightly to anyone.

[P2 24:02] The friend who said nothing. Astro and Super landed on the same lesson from opposite losses: the person who helped most wasn't the one with the perfect words. Astro's best friend "gave me a hug, we cried together… no words," and that was everything.

[P2 34:23] Uncle Corvus honors the room. Calling in "from down under," Uncle Corvus said he'd never sat with "a true warrior of Jesus Christ" who could still say the word grateful after a story like that, then reframed the theme: "we only die once. We get to live forever."
