NFTs — The Sunday NFT Show

TL;DR

Highlights

Blockies raffle post-mortem [13:55] — LoKi and Makaveli marveled at the sheer capital thrown at the raffle-style mint (someone reportedly put in ~100 ETH for a fraction of an allocation). Makaveli admitted he was lukewarm on the IP itself, comparing the mechanic to Claynosaurz's Popkins mint on Sui and wondering aloud what happens after reveal.

Serc on the Normies playbook [17:35] — Serc explained he spends what he earns buying Normies back, keeps the art CC0, and is building a pixel market and a stonk-brokers partnership. Notably, Normies stays on Ethereum, with reward distribution possibly routed through Robinhood chain. [19:37]

Aaron on the Unvault delay [21:14] — Aaron said the marketplace is done, audited, and omnichain (8–10 chains, honoring royalties at half the standard fee), but they won't launch until a wallet connection is provably safe. His "eat candy all day and you'll feel sick" analogy summed up the patience play.

Bugs mint mechanics [28:56] — Aaron introduced "5,000 mintable" against a 6,250 supply, with 20% going straight into the AMM (Anvil) for liquidity, and laid out why collab managers — not regular collectors — are the ones who benefit from stacking bugs.

"Explain it like I'm five" [35:47] — M.R asked for the plain-English risk of unvaulting to a new chain. Aaron's deadpan answer — a one-in-a-million ninja to the groin — landed the room, then he gave the real one: no on-chain risk, originals never burned, assets held in escrow only the holder can touch.

Big Rugg's RWA thesis [44:43] — Big Rugg argued Robinhood has created a new permanent genre with RWAs, forcing other chains to catch up, and tied it to genuine mass adoption via ETFs, Visa, PayPal and Cash App. Makaveli extended it to the Clarity Act and DTACs (digital treasury asset companies). [46:15]

Agentic NFTs 2.0 [50:36] — SimpleFarmer distinguished real autonomous agents from "slop" (calling out that early examples like Moldbook were mostly human-run fake data), and described agents that launch their own tokens, coordinate in a social network, and generate prediction-market data worth studying — or selling. Serc echoed the vision. [52:55]

The context-gap future [1:00:40] — SimpleFarmer said the next winner in AI will be whoever bridges the gap between human-biased context and what agents can already do, dreaming of a thought-based interface so he can trade from a poolside chair instead of hunching over a screen.

Leverage Machine [1:09:09] — SimpleFarmer walked through options NFTs that burn themselves if they expire out of the money (so nobody can be sold a worthless one on secondary), pitching "leverage without liquidations" as the DeFi answer to the October cascade. He also warned off swap-tax tokens that CEXs (84% of volume) won't honor. [1:06:42]

NFT NYC & Collector Park [1:22:06] — Jeremy previewed the OpenSea/Pudgy-produced Collector Park at Seward Park (Thursday the 3rd, 12–8pm), where V Friends, Gary V and top PFP projects will gather. Makaveli floated a 24-hour last-minute flight just to be there. [1:24:41]
