PANDAPALS ROUNDTABLE: The Nine-and-a-Half-Hour Bamboo Watering

Host: Panda (@PandaPals__) · Mon, 14 Sep 2026 · ~9h 35m · ~25 speakers

TL;DR

Highlights

[3:19] The scammer is back, and he's using someone else's face. Waldo kicked off with the topic of the day: an impersonator running fake accounts ("labeled as Texas," spun up elsewhere) using a real YouTuber's likeness to schedule "important interviews" and get you onto a flyer, then onto a link. WRX had been targeted; Gramm had been messaged two and a half weeks earlier and did the reverse-image legwork himself, ending up making a real friend out of one of the fake flyer's listed "speakers" [1:14:39]. Waldo's rule stayed simple: "if you see something, fucking say something."

[1:05:13] Emotional manipulation as the actual attack surface. Waldo's best stretch of the night was less about links and more about the guilt trip — the "I really need you to vote for me" DM, the manipulation chain that can extend to using children as the front. Cerebro added the tier above it: attacks where someone actually has server-side access and is the real profile, and the defense is boring and analog — call the person, FaceTime them, verify out of band [1:11:06].

[1:38:11] Glitchy on RWA pairing — then the reason for his day. Glitchy came in hot on tokenized real-world assets, arguing that pairing plus stables plus outside investors gives a token three backings instead of one, and that companies stabilized this way effectively lock themselves out of ever needing a bailout. He's building it: forty-plus vendors lined up to sell through his sites with profits routed into tokenization. Then, unprompted, he explained his mood — his father, a Vietnam vet, had died the previous morning [1:43:42]. He closed on stepfathers: "he took care of me since the age I was three years old. He wasn't required to do it, he just did it because he's a man."

[2:15:29] Cerebro explains fractionalization with a racehorse. Asked to make RWAs concrete for Gramm, Cerebro landed the best analogy of the night: you can't buy a Van Gogh, but you can buy a thousandth of one — and fifty bucks buys you a tenth of one percent of a probable junk racehorse. "Now if he's going down at the racetracks, now I got a reason to go spend the gasoline... That's my horse!" He extended it into creator-side capital formation: sell tokens representing 30% of a venture's profit, pay dividends, and buy your equity back once you're famous.

[2:47:36] NyteWolf makes the GameFi case. First NFT was a CryptoKitty; the thesis is wearables, armor upgrades, locked tokens inside NFTs, and the League of Legends skin economy that people already pay real money for. His verdict on the last wave: "the technology was too early and the timing wasn't right." Panda ran with it via Fortnite V-Bucks and the banana skin that does absolutely nothing except let you talk trash in the lobby.

[3:14:27] No Credits debuts a collection seven days old. Fresh off launch after three years of building, he described swappable MML-based wearables, a portable character designed to walk into any world that supports the standard, and a partnership drop with the NinjaCat crew where roughly 50 items exist in the wild forever because the claim closed when the space ended. His read on the cycle: "that's the play for this cycle is actually the evolution of the last cycle, not the repeat" [3:20:00].

[4:08:56] Billabong on why he lives in NFT spaces without being an NFT guy. Token spaces pitch; art spaces talk. He argued culture is the throughline that survives every cycle, then gave the sharpest practical alpha of the night: watch what 10-to-16-year-olds are into — the animes, the memes, the TikToks — because that's where the next community actually comes from, and young money has no responsibilities [4:15:17].

[4:57:52] The mint friction intervention. Curtis laid out every step between a normie and a panda — wallet, seed phrase, contract address, funding, bridging — and asked the killer question: if someone searches "panda" on an exchange, "how do you know which one's the real one?" [5:02:05]. Billabong countered with what's actually shipping: Samsung's built-in wallet, social/email-spun wallets, Coinbase's in-app cross-chain swap. Larry confessed he'd burned two hours because he had USDC on Ethereum instead of Base [5:50:03]. Panda took it all on the chin and picked two next builds: Apple/Google Pay, and a one-click cross-chain mint that bridges from Solana for you.

[6:37:14] Austin. A brand-new listener took the mic, told Cerebro his life advice was exactly what he'd needed to hear, and escalated from there through law school, competitive swimming, fifteen years of ice skating, the Winter Olympics, and a great deal of enthusiasm directed at Cerebro, Curtis and Waldo. Cerebro absorbed all of it warmly and then drew the line without a shred of unkindness: excited "in ways that are platonic and that are business like... not in that romantic way" [7:01:02]. Waldo, noticing the ages drifting from 18 to 25 to 23, asked simply: "next time, just be honest" [6:44:56]. Kat walked in at the exact wrong moment: "what in the actual fuck did I walk into" [7:07:06].

[7:18:04] Kat's cycle take. Bullish Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and SUI for mid-caps; RWA platforms with provable revenue; skeptical that memecoins have sustained buying pressure — with one carve-out: "You're the only project that I would support for a meme because I know you." He's helping a new exchange staffed by people who left tier-two exchanges over what they saw there. His broader caution: last cycle broke everyone's models, and anyone claiming to know how this one goes is lying.

[7:37:48] Billabong's Halloween season report. Horror accounts are resharing Pixie's Halloween villager into their own communities, high-end AI art accounts are DM-ing her to lean further into character work, the website is nearly done, and he's decided to put the DEX live rather than wait it out. The wider point: about a quarter to 30% of the audience skews female, unusual for crypto, and he wants it closer to 50.

Notable quotes

Who said what

Worth a full listen

[1:36:10][1:49:04] — Glitchy Glitch on RWAs, then on his father. The technical section is worth it on its own, but the turn from tokenomics to grief to a tribute to stepfathers is the kind of thing a summary can only flatten.

[4:57:52] – [5:35:00] — The mint friction session. Six people with different wallets, chains and skill levels reverse-engineering why buying an NFT is still hard, in real time, with the founder listening. Genuinely useful for anyone shipping a mint.

[6:37:14] – [7:16:00] — Austin. Impossible to convey secondhand. Cerebro's patience, Waldo's timing, Curtis's strategic silence, and Kat walking into the middle of it cold.
