The warmest tangent of the day: whooping stories, wet leather belts, the ridged vacuum cord you could feel the lines of, and a macho stepdad whacking his own leg to prove it didn't hurt — "Am I crying? So why are you crying? Toughen up." Everyone agrees today's wireless-controller kids will never know the fear of "hearing the wire in the air before it connects."
