TL;DR

Highlights

[7:48] Super opens #96 on "Desires." After a long musical intro (capped by Drake's "Desires"), Super laid out the topic and admitted he'd actually written questions this time "in case there's a pause" โ€” which Sho found funny, since this room has never once had a pause. He also teased something fun rolling out Friday but refused to spoil it.

[11:37] "Blue chip founder" energy. With regens breaking toward the 0.1 barrier, Jed ribbed Super for "doing the announcement before the announcement before the announcement," crowned him a blue-chip founder in the making, and the room dared him not to jinx the floor โ€” prompting a mock threat to floor every regen on the spot.

[12:20] Every stonk broker got rich. Super clicked through the accounts sweeping regens and found wallets loaded with 300K โ€” "every stonk broker holder got rich." Jed took it somewhere warmer: what's cool is seeing winners rotate their gains back into up-and-coming projects, remembering who put them onto the info in the first place. Sho tied it to her core desire: loyalty.

[16:04] The bugs. Tim wondered aloud whether the whole "desires" topic was just Super's craving to mint bugs. Jed played coy โ€” "I don't even know what these bugs are you're talking aboutโ€ฆ not allowed to speak about this until Tuesday. Monday. No โ€” after the space, that's what I meant."

[21:23] Founding as masochism. Jed's thesis on the job: "you gotta be crazy, and you gotta love pain and you gotta love losing money," at least until you reach the 0.5% at the top. This landed against Super's very grounded reveal that he's picking up a side hustle cleaning his local church โ€” puncturing the beach-and-martini founder fantasy Tim teased him about.

[26:00] Bullying, acne, and resilience. Super opened up about brutal acne and teasing in high school, and how skating gave him a life outside of it. Jed got passionate about how deeply that damage lands on kids, and Sho reframed it: the scars are exactly what turned Super into the caring person he is now.

[40:00] Chambo's stepdad and the bully. Chambo shared how his stepdad โ€” an alcoholic war vet and cop, "not always good," but able to teach one lesson โ€” ran a background check on a kid who was bullying him and revealed the kid was being abused far worse at home. It rewired how Chambo saw people forever: disarm a bully by asking if they're okay. Sho landed it with "hurt people, hurt people."

[47:24] Products of our environment. Chaz, an addiction counselor 11 years clean, said desire isn't fully baked in โ€” put yourself in a trap house or backstage at a rave and sooner or later you say yes. He and Super traded on how much of that is choice versus setting, and the value of simply staying busy: idle hands, the devil's workshop.

[55:19] Tim on poverty and giving back. Tim described growing up in a one-bedroom NYC apartment with six other people, trading food stamps for dollars, and how his desires were once literally for food. Now he gives up cars and possessions, travels light, and channels the FOMO into betting on the right people rather than chasing the next stonk broker.

[1:05:00] Slick Ric on breaking the cycle. In the biggest sustained moment of the room, Slick Ric โ€” 41, with a hard road behind him โ€” urged Super to stop beating himself up, reminded everyone addiction hides in food, web3, porn, anything, and made the case for embracing the struggle and passing hard-won wisdom to your "seeds," because the cycle is vicious and someone has to break it.

[1:11:00] Chaz gives the room its flowers. Chaz said he takes what he hears here back into his recovery groups every Monday, building curriculum from it, and that he's learned more from these Spaces than from school โ€” hanging in the audience anonymously just to listen.

[1:12:00] Security PSA (and the burner phones). Sho pushed everyone to revoke.cash after a member got hacked; Tim walked through it clearly โ€” it aggregates every approval you've ever signed so you can revoke them in bulk or one by one. Then Slick Ric casually mentioned he mints from burner phones, and the room never fully recovered.
