Builder Burnout / Community Happy Hour — racing, wandering strangers, and one very good CRX
Host: Buster (@BasedBusterCoin, addressed on mic as Gary) with co-host RΞX (@reXt_racer) · Fri, 25 Sep 2026 · 1:08:20 · 8 speakers
TL;DR
- The usual Friday builder hangout ran simultaneously with Captain's ~6-hour live stream, so the room played live multiplayer rounds of the vehicles.app racing game on the jumbotron while talking.
- A total stranger wandered in from the spaces search, asked if this was "some sort of Bitcoin thing," and accidentally triggered the clearest product pitch of the hour — AI garage assistant, on-chain maintenance history, fractional collector cars.
- Slava laid out what's next for the game: podium screens, better sound (Waldo volunteered, loudly), buster-token tournaments, head-to-head winner-takes-all races, and a revenue split for community track creators.
- Slava also shared an agent he built for leverage trading via agenthub.gg; Rex is pointing his Grokbot in a similar direction. Recommended starting stake: ten dollars.
- Ajaqara delivered a full roll-call hype segment and confirmed the Driven Africans IRL event in Nigeria is set for November.
- Housekeeping: builder burnout runs every Friday, 2pm PT / 6pm ET.
Highlights
[10:35] — "Is it some sort of Bitcoin thing?" A first-time listener dropped in mid-stream and admitted she'd found the Space by typing "space" into X search and scrolling, because the actual spaces tab surfaces nothing. She knows zero about crypto and, by her own account, zero about cars. She stayed for about twelve minutes and got the best demo of the day.
[14:26] — The elevator pitch, unrehearsed. Rex walked through the AI vehicle agent (feed it your VIN, it talks you through an oil change or a transmission swap), the Carfax-plus concept where you build your car's history over your ownership — receipts, maintenance, even memories — and the fractional ownership side for collector cars. The pitch that landed: the blockchain is on the back end and the average user never has to know it's there.
[18:16] — The $30k Honda CRX. Rex's go-to story: a 90s CRX worth maybe eight to ten grand sold for roughly three times market value because the owner had exhaustive records — every receipt, plus terabytes of photos and video. That, he argued, is the whole product in one anecdote, and it applies to a Highlander as much as a Ferrari.
[20:23] — Mechanics only. The visitor's joke about whether it's easier to learn to change your oil or find a husband on Tinder spawned a genuine feature idea. Captain: make it a dating site. Rex: speed dating. Slava, later and with real interest: "singles, cars and coffee." The app is open source, so someone could technically just build the automotive Tinder as a mini app and submit it.
[22:59] — The exit interview. She signed off by explaining she normally comes to Spaces to argue about politics and war, gave a follow, and asked to be told when they progress. Rex logged it as a small win: somebody into neither cars nor crypto found it interesting anyway.
[28:21] — The Godzilla clause. Before opening the lobby to the audience, Captain proposed a rule of hospitality: no one gets the Godzilla car against newcomers, because it'll make them never come back. Stock cars only. Then an unnamed racer in Godzilla joined anyway, and later started driving backwards to make everyone wait.
[32:40] — Jules. An unknown racer named Jules turned up in the lobby. Slava: "Jules is my wife." Rex: "She's gonna kill us." She won. Slava noted she's been grinding the leaderboards so the two of them hold first and second on everything.
[38:25] — Stakes and royalties. Rex outlined the earn layer: tournaments with prize pools paying out top three in buster/boost, plus head-to-head winner-takes-all. Slava added the part builders should care about — attributing community-built tracks to their creators, with something like 0.2 of a 2-buster pot routed back to whoever made the track being raced on.
[44:27] — Agents doing the degening. Blocked from leverage trading himself, Slava built an agent that isn't: self-custodial, you set leverage, size, stop loss, take profit and repeat count. Rex has been trying to get Grokbot to trade via a Phantom wallet; Slava pointed him at the Coinbase MCP docs instead. Both agreed on the risk management: test with ten bucks.
[49:35] — Ajaqara's roll call. The community's resident hype man read the entire room into the record — Rexy, all your base, Waldo the Meme Master King, "the ultimate cool none other than Slava, the lava with the S," Doji ("knock knock, who's home? Doji is home"), Panda, Buster — before making an actual point: the thing he keeps noticing about this team is that they take community feedback seriously. He also confirmed movements being organised in Nigeria for the Driven Africans IRL in November.
[54:48] — Puerto Rico and the farm beater. With Captain based there, the group floated tapping into local car culture for an event. Captain's shopping for a work vehicle — "something that's gonna maybe get knocked around occasionally" given fallen fruit and bad roads. Rex offered his JDM guy and talked him up to a Toyota Hilux.

Notable quotes
- "Normally when I come on spaces, hence why I disconnected myself for a couple of days... you'll notice I'm mostly an asshole, and I go into spaces and argue with people about politics and war and all these things. But y'all are really great." — the visiting newcomer, [22:59]0:38
- "I always love seeing just you know, new faces pop up and chime in... somebody who's neither into cars nor crypto. But the fact that she found it interesting, you know, I'll take that as a little win." — RΞX, [24:34]0:38
- "If anyone in the audience joins, we don't use Godzilla against them. Because it'll make them never want to come back." — Captain, [28:21]0:38
- "We're cooking, but it's Friday, so we're also cooked." — RΞX, [44:21]0:38
- "That would be the the highlight of my life. If I could do every single sound effect for the game. You'll get a thousand different files from me." — Waldo, [26:17]0:38

Who said what
- RΞX (@reXt_racer) — co-host and chief explainer: app roadmap, the CRX story, mechanic attestations, tournament and betting design, and the running gag that he will never again pick the Miata.
- Buster / Gary (@BasedBusterCoin) — host, kept the jumbotron and lobby links flowing, noted this is the third straight week where something discussed on the Space ships the following week, and closed out with the weekly schedule.
- Slava* — the builder, who joined the first half from behind the wheel of an actual car. Took live feedback, sketched track-creator revenue sharing, and shared his self-custodial leverage-trading agent. Also married to the leaderboard champion.
- Captain / all your base* — ran the six-hour stream the Space piggybacked on, reported 3,500 stream views, proposed the Godzilla ban, and spent the back half hunting a Puerto Rican farm truck.
- Waldo* — new laptop, boundless enthusiasm, volunteered for sound design and custom tracks, currently paying for Grok without knowing how to use it.
- Ajaqara* — Driven Africans community builder; hype man and organiser of the November Nigeria IRL.
- Speaker 5 — the accidental guest whose curiosity produced the cleanest product explanation of the hour.
Worth a full listen
- [10:35]–[23:48] — the unplanned pitch. If you want to understand what vehicles.app actually is, this is better than any thread, precisely because someone with no context kept asking "okay but what about someone like me with a Highlander?"
- [38:25]–[43:39] — the design conversation, from prize pools to paying track creators to the open-source mini-app angle, all of it decided live and out loud.
- [49:35]–[52:34] — Ajaqara at full volume, and then the sincere turn into why community feedback loops matter and what's coming in Nigeria.
