What re:cap is

re:cap listens to public X Spaces from hosts who have opted in, and writes them up as readable recaps. The recaps on this site and the threads on @recap_spaces are free, and stay free. Every thread is read by a human before it posts.

re:cap is run by Brokenreality Inc. Questions, problems, or anything at all: [email protected], or DM @recap_spaces.

Email, free

Give us an email address and pick some hosts or subjects, and we send you a Sunday digest. We use your address for exactly that. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes nothing you would miss, and you can start again anytime.

What we cannot promise

The watchlist changes. Hosts join, and hosts can ask to be removed at any time. Their room, their call, so who gets covered means the roster as it stands, not a fixed list. Spaces that are never recorded cannot be recapped. X's platform can change under us.

Hosts

If you host Spaces and would rather we did not cover you, say so. DM @recap_spaces and you are off the list, no questions and no negotiation. Speakers are credited by their real names and handles; if we ever get a name or a quote wrong, tell us and we will correct it, including taking a posted thread down.

The recaps themselves

Recaps are our summaries of public conversations, with short quotes and audio clips for credit and context. The words belong to the people who said them. If you are a speaker and want a quote or clip of yours removed, ask and it comes down.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects what you pay or what you get, we email Plus subscribers before it takes effect. Small corrections just get made, and the date at the top moves.
