PANDAPALS ROUNDTABLE: 4:30 PM ET
Host: Panda (@PandaPals__) · Mon, Sep 21, 2026 · ~10h32m across two parts (X cut the room mid-sentence and the Space was restarted) · ~20 speakers
TL;DR
- A ten-hour Monday roundtable that started on "International Day of Peace" and ended, roughly 3 a.m., on hot dog Sudoku and whether a British co-host makes a room go quiet.
- The core question of the night: would you still show up if the token and the NFT disappeared? Nearly everyone said some version of yes — Waldo has run communities for 13 years with no financial upside, Billabong showed up months before ever owning a panda.
- Panda gave a full product update: staking being fixed for mobile/all browsers, a one-click Solana→Base bridge+swap+mint (code done, needs Sepolia testing), the app pushed back slightly, plus badges/locker gamification on the horizon.
- The room gave Panda blunt feedback he's been dodging for months: reset the room on the hour, actually shill the NFT and token, pin the mint link in the jumbotron. Waldo then performed a live radio-style reset as a demonstration.
- Longest thread of the night: whether owning the NFT is required for community membership. Consensus landed on no — with real talk about elitism, priced-out collections, and Rocky's philosophy of gifting expensive NFTs to people who earned them.
- Late-night turn into bull-market anxiety: Rocky said he's been grieving the end of the bear market, and Toastymfer worried everyone tightening up into "professional" mode will kill exactly what made this corner fun.
Highlights
[P1 2:18] Curtis met the internet in real life. Curtis Gore opened by recapping a Tampa breakfast with Rob Banks, Derpy Dave, Crypto Fight Club and Touch Grass — three hours of coffee and bullshitting, phone numbers exchanged ("a couple weren't that comfortable with me yet"). Panda's take: putting a face to the voice crystallizes the relationship in a way spaces can't.
[P1 11:47] Derpy Dave's debut, and the anti-shill-space business plan. Dave (Doug) explained how he built his morning space by looking at what the paid promo hosts charged and deciding to take market share by doing it free, five days a week with Trina. He also dropped that he's 53 and fully doxxed — Derpy Dave is his son's name — and made the case that the space's real product is trust: "I have to be able to lead them to you."
[P1 31:05] Toastymfer's ego check. Toasty took the mic to say something unprompted and unguarded: he came into the space euphoric and creating freely from a place without ego, and along the way developed enough of one to expect people to have his back and get his "nose out of joint" when they didn't. Eyes forward, back to putting the spotlight on other people.
[P1 1:33:23] Rocky finds peace in an 18-hour creative bender. Asked what peace looks like, Röcky offered two competing answers: two days at the river before he actually unwinds, or the once-every-two-years state where he's locked in 18 hours a day, "everything I touch is gold, and I feel my immune system shutting down because I'm going so hard" — and somehow at total peace.
[P2 4:05] Cerebro's magnitudes of peace. Cerebro Stellarlord laid out a Maslow-shaped answer while noting, almost in passing, that he's been without water for a month and is fighting to keep his land from being seized for a dam project. His frame: secure your own needs first or "helping" others is actually abusing your family — peace grows outward in magnitudes, self → family → friends → strangers.
[P2 30:08] Panda on why the welcome matters more than the mint. On what makes someone a community member, Panda drew the line explicitly: no "you're not minting enough pandas" gatekeeping, no elite archetype to fit, but also no rose-colored glasses — Curtis throwing counterpoints is what keeps it from being one-dimensional.
[P2 1:20:45] The Panda gym conspiracy. Kilo S wondered aloud how Panda never sounds out of breath at the gym; Waldo escalated to a full theory that Panda actually manages the gym and is in the back office filing paperwork, then pivoted to imagining a tiny SpongeBob-sized panda who can somehow flip a car off you. Curtis closed it: "It's not the size of your panda, it's how you use it."
[P2 3:45:47] Rocky's giveaway philosophy. Rocky explained why he's given away ~20 NFTs worth $1,000–2,500 each — minted early, held until valuable, then handed to people like Mesh who showed up every day without owning one. Worded carefully so it read as appreciation, not charity. Billabong called it the merit-over-money principle he'd been trying to articulate.
[P2 5:25:51] The room stages an intervention about shilling. WRX, Wagby and Kilo had all told Panda he under-promotes his own project; he admitted he feels an "ick" doing it in his own room. Waldo cut through it by demonstrating a radio-style break on the spot — comment count goals, bookmarks, reshare the room, "P Pump, what's that? That's right, native token" — then promised "I'll do better every hour on the hour."
[P2 6:56:53] Rocky is grieving the end of the bear market. The most unexpected turn of the night: Rocky described last cycle's upside as the hardest part — millions in market cap, 2.5% of it, walking around work pale and shaking while making six figures a day, unable to sell because he was a steward. All he could think about then was the bear market, and now that it's ending, "I'm fucking sad as shit, because the real game begins."
[P2 7:13:14] Toasty's warning about tightening up. Toasty argued the bear-market silliness — endless absurd threads, tagging each other into content — was peak performance, and that everyone snapping into professional mode is exactly backwards. He also noted people now hold back the goofy reply: "Everybody's tightened up." Billabong and Toasty then described the unspoken system they already use — brand account stays on message, community goes feral underneath.

Notable quotes
"I'm gonna listen to you, I'm gonna trust you, and I'm gonna follow you. It's really that simple. And there's probably like a dozen people right now we could do that. It wasn't like that before, Panda." — Derpy Dave [P1 18:12]
"There's multiple magnitudes of peace. You know, start, work towards your own peace to feed yourself so you're not hungry and could be angry to people... then do that for your family. Do it for people exactly close to you, do it for your friends, then do it for strangers." — Cerebro Stellarlord [P2 6:54]
"My delusional unhinged insanity for the passion of community and just building out communities keeps me locked in. So thoroughly, yeah. Everything goes the shit sideways. Unfortunately, you're still gonna have me here in the trenches trying to do our best." — Waldo [P2 39:07]
"This isn't your typical crypto space in my opinion... it's kind of like an internet book club if you will." — Curtis Gore [P2 42:25]
"Somebody like Mesh just fucking shows up every day and he doesn't have one, and he loves them so much... I was like, can you send me your wallet address?" — Röcky, on giving away NFTs worth thousands [P2 3:45:47]
"It's not the size of your panda, it's how you use it." — Curtis Gore [P2 1:28:51]
Who said what
- Panda (@PandaPals__) — host. Ran ten hours across two rooms while at the gym, at dinner, and on a business call. Walked through the P Pump acronym (PandaPals promoting Unity, Meaning, Purpose), the two-year 2023–2025 build with a scam dev and misaligned art layers, the current roadmap, and his own "I'm minting at least 100 with my own capital" position. Absorbed a lot of feedback about under-promoting his own project and mostly conceded the point.
- Curtis Gore (@curtisgore) — cohost. The grounded counterweight: 26 years as a one-man window-tint shop, no real peace in his life and fine with it, honest that if crypto's financial upside vanished he'd probably drift off X — while insisting he'd still come back for this room. Also the night's best one-liner.
- Waldo (@waldoforrealz) — cohost. Community purist, 13 years of it, no financial incentive required. Delivered the live radio reset that showed Panda how to shill, argued against elitist token-gated "yacht" culture, and supplied the gym conspiracy theory. Signed off at 12:30 to water himself.
- Röcky (@Rockchilld3) — described peace as both a river and an 18-hour creative bender, laid out his merit-based giveaway philosophy, and delivered the night's most vulnerable stretch: grieving the bear market's end because the bull's stewardship pressure nearly broke him last cycle.
- BillabongMonkey (@BillabongM) — cohost. The most quoted contributor: sold protection plans by over-delivering value first, told his Halloween launch origin story (planned for next spring, moved up a year after finding this group), and offered the Rick Rubin point about labels as self-imposed boxes. Running on two and a half hours' sleep with a sick cat.
- Toastymfer (@ewwwtoasty1) — opened Part 1 with an unprompted accountability moment about ego, then closed the night arguing that going "professional" for the bull market is the surest way to blend in and lose. Tired of watching people launch tokens they thought of last night.
- Cerebro Stellarlord (@CStellarlord) — was mid-sentence when X killed the room; came back and delivered the magnitudes-of-peace framework, oxygen-mask logic included.
- Kilo S (@KiloSilo47) — peace comes in waves, "in times of peace prepare for war"; also the most practical critic, suggesting jumbotron mint links and hourly reminders, and wondering aloud how Panda is never out of breath at the gym.
- Derpy Dave (@Being_DerpyAF) — debut. Explained the free-morning-space strategy and why being a trusted router for newcomers is the whole business.
- Lyss (@Lysss302) — dropped in from her own daily show to ask the question nobody had: why one nine-hour Monday instead of seven short days? Nearly a year of daily spaces on her side; no right answer reached, both hosts logged the trade-offs.
- WAGBi (@WAGBi_) — hasn't locked a weekly slot yet and got gently workshopped about it by half the stage; on community, landed on "quality time spent," including the donkey milk and tater tot debates.
- WRXcryptominer (@wrxcryptominer) — the most direct feedback of the night: reset the room, push the NFT, push the token, don't feel guilty about it — plus the observation that Panda Pals has become a cultural NFT where mint-out status matters less than what it represents to the holder.
- BeeCuzFuture (@BeeCuzFuture) — on belonging: you don't need the asset, and the size of the bag doesn't correlate with the member. Defined peace as his daughter meeting him in the garage.
- Möth Män Jönës (@MothManJones) — minted Pandarino #222, flagged a MetaMask-on-Windows mint bug, and made the case that the Monday spaces alone were worth the price of entry.
- Vibes (@Vibatron) — arrived near hour ten with the energy of hour one, explained the Steppas gaming→crypto onboarding funnel, and immediately started plotting a twelve-hour space to beat Panda's record.
- Capstiller (@capstiller) — closed the room talking night-shift welding, hot-dog-themed Sudoku, and singing "Cheer Up, Charlie" at people who are upset, which reliably enrages one person and delights everyone else.
- Also up: Mo_Lecular, Pengy Peng, Glitchy Glitch, Meme Warzone, Mossad, PandaPals backup.
Worth a full listen
- [P1 1:13:00] – [P2 9:25] — the peace question, uncut. Four very different answers (Toasty's "everyone has direction," Curtis's honest "I don't have much of it," Rocky's creative-bender paradox, Cerebro's needs hierarchy delivered while literally fighting for his land and water). The summary flattens what's actually a good, slow, unhurried stretch of people thinking out loud.
- [P2 3:30:48] – [P2 4:04:00] — the NFT-gating debate. Waldo, Billabong, Rocky and Panda take turns on elitism, priced-out collections, whether $1M NFT floors are manipulated theater, and Rocky's gifting ritual. This is the closest the room comes to genuine disagreement and it stays generous throughout.
- [P2 6:56:53] – [P2 7:25:00] — the bull-market reckoning. Rocky on the terror of holding a 20M market cap as a steward, Billabong on being caught off guard by beast mode, Toasty on how tightening up kills the thing that works. Unusually candid for a room this late in a ten-hour Space.
