🎀 1 Year of the Fugettes 🎀 The Community
Host: Fugettes (@fugettes), with co-hosts Sho (@AgogoKaren) and DaFameless (@DaFameless) · Fri 18 Sep 2026 · 1:19:02 · ~8 speakers
TL;DR
- Afternoon session of the Fugettes one-year anniversary (Fugs turned one in May; Fugettes on Sept 18), built around AI-generated tribute songs for individual community members and shout-outs to the people who keep the group chat alive.
- Songs played live: Rorschach's fanny-pack anthem [8:47], Little Wends' "keep that shuriken" track [53:59], and Check's "check, check, keep it safe" banger [1:06:12]. All of them are headed to the Fugettes Spotify [1:10:26].
- Burningbush discovered — a full year in — that Fugettes is a women's subcommunity and not simply "fugs that look female," which led to a threatened hate-buy, a men-only splinter faction with DaFameless as president, and a fully AI-produced gang war [27:34].
- Sho shilled the Macarons mint (first-come, first-serve for Fugs holders, 0.015) with a clean "and that's a shill right there because you asked me" [38:45].
- Giveaway: a Vision of the Void NFT (Space Riders' second collection), winners drawn from screenshots taken throughout the space and announced at the 8pm EST party space [1:12:07].
- Shout-outs to Pleb (creative work, gifs, his own game), Little Wends (Fug Studio, fugs.studio), She Rocks, Al, Brad and Check as the connective tissue of the community.
Highlights
[8:32] A song for a name nobody can pronounce. The host paused the playlist for "a very important fugger," then let the track roast itself: the lyric literally asks "Rorschach, how do you say it again?" She admitted the line exists because of how hard she struggles with it, and promised to always remember him as the bucket hat and fanny pack fugger — "even if fanny packs are kind of overrated."
[17:12] Burningbush gets Beetlejuiced. DaFameless said his name, Burningbush immediately appeared in the listeners, and the host proposed a three-second experiment in silence before letting him up. Cadarn broke it first, which the host noted was not the memo [18:26].
[19:59] The actual point of the space. After the joking, the host laid out why she built the Fugettes on top of Fugs: not just chaotic energy and personalities, but an openness that came down from how Yot built Fugs — big enough to be a real community, tight-knit enough that miscommunications get talked out in the group chat instead of festering. Explicitly not "one of those toxic 2021 communities."
[24:54] A ten-second audition. Mr. Slim requested the mic and got grandma-mode door policy: ten seconds to introduce yourself and prove you're not here to shill. Cadarn's verdict — "now you sound like grandma" [25:22] — and Slim's own defense ("everybody looks so mean to me") got him waved through with a compliment on his PFP.
[27:34] One year in, Burningbush reads the label. Told that Fugettes is the women's subcommunity, Burningbush was floored: he'd assumed it meant female-looking fugs. Sho's reply arrived instantly [28:01]. He went down to the listeners in protest for roughly zero seconds, then came back up to argue that you absolutely can gender a fug by looking at it — while Clasico calmly noted from the panel that no, you can't [30:01].
[32:21] The men-only splinter faction. Burningbush floated hate-buying a fug purely to spite the host, recruited DaFameless as president of the first male fugger subcommunity, and announced an AI-made gang war, with their own anniversary due "in like two weeks" and their own mucky duck giveaway [49:18]. Cadarn was mostly delighted that DaFameless didn't even hesitate [35:04].
[33:38] Clasico puts money where the argument is. Mid-debate, Clasico pointed out that the current floor is a woman fug — buyable right now, and "probably not gonna be there within the next week." Cheapest possible way to end a gender dispute.
[40:05] 103 degrees of what, exactly. Sho reported Texas heat, the host demanded Celsius on the grounds that "in Fugette spaces, temperatures in Celsius," and both Sho and Cadarn noted that rule appears nowhere in writing. Sho's closing argument involved a sidewalk and an egg [41:03].
[44:09] Focus group of one. Burningbush brought his daughter — a Fugs fan — into the call for live PFP judging. She'd already seen the host's, was impressed that DaFameless "grew a mustache overnight," and crowned Sho and the Fugettes PFP the winners [45:17]. DaFameless explained the mustache as "all in the genes," which the host heard as denim and had to walk back at speed [51:19].
[57:14] Fug Studio and the shuriken joke. The host explained Little Wends' fugs.studio — punch in your fug number, get official edits — including the pink sparkly bow she puts on every new Fuggette's fug as a welcome. Wends is the leaderboard number one and needs only a shuriken trait to complete his collection, which is exactly why his song tells everyone not to give him one.

Who said what
- Fugettes (@fugettes) — host. Ran the anniversary shout-out format, played the AI songs she's been making for individual community members, explained Fug Studio and the giveaway, and kept apologizing for a midday energy crash while talking for seventy-nine straight minutes.
- Sho (@AgogoKaren) — co-host early on, kept getting rugged by the app. Shilled the Macarons mint on request and defended Texas thermometry.
- DaFameless (@DaFameless) — took over co-host duties and the pinned links (Fug Studio, Macarons, the next space), agreed to become president of the men-only subcommunity without a moment's thought.
- Burningbush (@BurningBush_eth) — arrived under duress, discovered the Fugettes membership criteria, declared war, brought his daughter in to judge profile pictures, and left to drive a car full of children.
- Cadarn (@RendCadarn) — high-energy commentary throughout, calling Sho "grandma," narrating the Burningbush/DaFameless alliance, and getting so excited he outran his own pronunciation.
- Clasico (@Clasico773) — quiet, decisive interventions: you can't tell from the fug, and the floor is a woman fug right now.
- Mega.eth (@megacryptmic) — dropped in from 8:30pm his time, sparked the GM-at-any-hour tangent and crowned the host "the official Fugs artist" [1:10:04].
- Mr. Slim (@slimchief7) — passed the ten-second vibe check with nothing to sell.
Worth a full listen
- [27:15]–[33:31] — The full arc of Burningbush realizing what "Fugettes" means, the panel dismantling his claim that you can gender a fug by sight, and the birth of a men-only subcommunity with a war plan and a mascot duck. The summary flattens the timing.
- [38:45]–[41:03] — Sho's completely transparent Macarons shill followed by the Celsius jurisdiction dispute, which is the space's culture in miniature: unwritten rules, cheerfully enforced.
- [1:04:34]–[1:08:38] — Check walks in right as he's being discussed, hears the story of his accidentally viral "my mom says I'm special" gif, and gets a song the host had been sitting on for two months.
