Give A Shit — Collect Your Thoughts #1: off my meds
Host: BeeCuzFuture (@BeeCuzFuture) · Sun 20 Sep 2026 · 1:11:17 across two parts · ~6 speakers
TL;DR
- BeeCuzFuture opened the room with the reason for the title: he deliberately skipped his Adderall (and caffeine) for the day to gauge what the medication actually does for him — and reported the day felt "heavy," like the depression he used to live in [P1 4:57].
- TinyJobuMothRider and Uncle Corvus met him there with their own experiences — Jobu on the double-edged-sword calculus of stimulants vs. drinking [P1 7:24], Corvus on how kids "reset your compass" and reorder every job decision [P1 14:22].
- The conversation turned into a long, unplanned testimony: a lost elderly woman at a gas station, a house number that matched BeeCuzFuture's military job code and half his last name, and a Bible inscribed to a friend he'd lost [P1 35:29].
- Lady Corvus and Lil Southern Mama both responded from faith — "there is no such thing as coincidence" [P1 44:39], and Saul-to-Paul on God reading the heart even while you're cursing him [P1 50:53].
- The Space died mid-sentence while Lil Southern Mama was setting up a joke about "the bush"; the host restarted, and she finished the punchline [P2 1:51].
- Part 2 went fully feral in the best way: Florida vs. Southwest Sydney, whether possums are secretly soft and useful, the Daniel Boone hat supply chain, and Australian firearm law (plus a bit about registering sticks) [P2 2:00]–[P2 13:21].
Highlights
The premise, stated plainly [P1 4:57] — Diagnosed with ADHD about a year ago, BeeCuzFuture says the year has been amazing and the medication is part of it but not the cause. He skips a day occasionally to check his own baseline. The verdict on this one: "I felt like complete ass all day," two naps, zero drive, and a heaviness he recognized from his past [P1 6:36].
Jobu on choosing your battles [P1 7:24] — TinyJobuMothRider framed it as picking the lesser beast: stimulants aren't free, but for him the alternative was depression and drinking a lot more. "Which one ends up having more positive uh direction in your life?" [P1 11:32].
Champion of ADHD [P1 8:32] — The host relayed his doctor's line: if he were in a room with 99 other people, they'd all be wondering why he's moving so much. After years of the VA stacking three meds at once and a six-month fog, he insisted on one medication at a time so he could actually measure it [P1 29:05].
"Is Adderall known to cause people to find religion?" [P1 12:30] — He asked his doctor in earnest. It is not a listed side effect. What he did notice: sobriety, weight coming off, and feeling the energy in his daughter's hug when he got home from work.
Corvus arrives, on-brand [P1 14:13] — "I just came to kick you in the dick," then immediately pivoted into the most sincere stretch of the night: kids reset your compass, and the little things you'd miss — a hug, a kiss before bed — carry more weight in a job decision than anyone without children accounts for [P1 15:48]. He also spent a while on the caliber of women showing up in these rooms, and what it means that his daughter overhears it: "Long live the women" [P1 21:11].
Lady Corvus vs. the 15-second delay [P1 24:29] — She apologized for laughing in all the wrong places, discovered the listener delay is real, and asked for a ten-second recap — which the host obligingly gave. Corvus's offer to tell his own in-depth story got the review it deserved: "Cool story, Hansel. Who brought this guy?" [P1 26:30].
Top marks [P1 30:35] — On finally getting tested: "I did really good at ADHD. Like a top score, even." Corvus congratulated him, then announced he'd be taking the test himself and beating the score [P1 31:52], before asking a genuinely interesting question — has he ever paired a med-free day with fasting and prayer?
The testimony [P1 35:29] — The long one, and worth hearing whole. Out of cigarettes, leaving an hour early, a truck parked across three spaces, an old woman who couldn't find her way home. He guided her — convoy habits from motor transport — and when he got her there, her address was his job's number designation (3521) plus half his last name. Inside that story is another: a friend named Pam who took her life, a question he'd asked God about where she'd gone, and a customer the next day with the same name, a house full of family Bibles, and one in a handmade chest inscribed to Pam [P1 39:59]. His family now attends her church.
The faith responses [P1 44:39] and [P1 50:53] — Lady Corvus: no coincidences, and some people get the message loud and fast because it has to leave no room for guessing. Lil Southern Mama followed with Saul before he was Paul — God reads the heart, and hears cursing as pain.
Corvus in the bush, and the anti-grind sermon [P1 54:38] — He dropped everything to walk into the bush and talk out loud until his head cleared, convinced the koalas were watching a man lose his marbles. Then: ten hours of sleep, unapologetically. "Come pay me out that I had 10 hours of sleep. I dare you." On the culture word of choice — "Grind, I do with my coffee."
The punchline survives the restart [P1 57:39] → [P2 1:51] — Lil Southern Mama was mid-setup when the Space dropped. Reconvened, she landed it: in the States you don't go in the bush unless you can't make it to the loo. Corvus, unmoved, maintains the bush is why he runs ultras.
"Do you know Bob?" [P2 3:57] — Told she lives near Gainesville, Corvus asked whether she knows Bob, who runs the car park at the Gators and sometimes works the canteen on Saturdays. Lady Corvus apologized for her husband; the host noted no apology could really cover it [P2 4:31].
Possum rehabilitation hour [P2 8:30] — Corvus wanted to know if American possums are real or just ugly on TV. Lil Southern Mama made the case: nearly blind, mostly scared, soft as long-haired cats, and they eat ticks and rattlesnakes. Jobu filed the important correction that possums and opossums are two different awesome animals [P2 10:15], and the conversation wandered off into Daniel Boone hats, New Zealand fur, whether raccoon tastes like greasy pork, and raccoons raiding chicken coops.

Who said what
- BeeCuzFuture (@BeeCuzFuture) — host. Ran an unusually vulnerable open-mic: ADHD diagnosis at adult age, deliberate med-free check-ins, the VA's medication management, and a long testimony about faith, a lost stranger, and a friend named Pam.
- Uncle Corvus (@unclecorvus) — the room's chief agitator and its biggest cheerleader in the same breath. Threats of violence, sincerity about fatherhood, an anti-grind sermon, and a strong personal interest in American possums.
- Lady Corvus (@The_Lady_Corvus) — arrived fighting a 15-second audio delay, stayed for the theology: no coincidences, God's timing, and a Christianity she describes as very much open to the supernatural. Also the household's designated apologizer.
- TinyJobuMothRider (@JobuCoyote) — first up, and the one who normalized the topic: stimulants as a trade-off, depression and drinking as the alternative. Later returned for taxonomy duty on possums vs. opossums.
- Lil Southern Mama — Florida, eight wooded acres, a pond, a lake, and chickens to defend from raccoons. Brought the Saul-to-Paul reflection and the joke the Space restart couldn't kill.
- Speaker 6 — briefly, near the end of Part 1, to question whether anyone sleeps ten hours and to claim prior ownership of the "splashback man" song.
Worth a full listen
- [P1 35:29] – [P1 43:30] — The testimony in full. The compression above loses the pacing, and the pacing is the whole thing: the address, the Bible in the chest, the middle name that matched his grandmother's.
- [P1 54:38] – [P1 57:49] — Corvus on walking into the bush, ten hours of sleep, and the word "grind," ending with the Space cutting out mid-joke. Comic timing you can't write.
- [P2 7:25] – [P2 11:05] — A smooth fox compliment, an immediate wolf sighting, and then a full defense of the possum's character and ecological utility, with a detour through the Daniel Boone hat trade.
