Give A Shit — Collect Your Thoughts #1
Host: BeeCuzFuture (@BeeCuzFuture) · Fri, 25 Sep 2026 · 2:22:27 · 5 speakers (host + 4 guests)
TL;DR
- A late-night, no-agenda Space that opened with two of the host's own Suno-made tracks — the "Give A Shit" anthem and a second, gentler one — and then stayed conversational for two hours.
- DARKM N (@Bryan36krun)* dialed in from a cleaning shift for a nostalgia lap through early Solana spaces (Moonsters, SoulSaver, Slick Rick) and his standing advice: take care of home first, research before you move.
- BeeCuzFuture shared that he's filed five patents — an energy-harvesting suit, adapted for humanoid robots — and has someone taking them into a meeting Monday.
- Vest (@Vestoriin)* explained why he's cut back on running spaces and shifted to guest-speaking and mental-health-focused rooms; time as the non-renewable asset became the thread of the whole night.
- Solaney Kubrick (@solaneykubrick)* delivered the emotional center of the Space: first-space impressions, sobriety, ADHD, aging, and a Mary Oliver poem read aloud near the end.
- JJ (@0xJ4Y3)* closed things out with the day-job angle — cloud efficiency at GM, a data center and RPC/node build, and a very plainspoken theory of a well-lived day.
- Schedule confirmed: these run Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10pm Eastern.
Highlights
[8:28] — Clocking in and tuning in. DARKM N joined mid-shift, cleaning offices, furniture, trash, "the whole nine," and framed it as the upside of the job: the work is easy enough that he gets to spend it in the company of people he likes. The host, five days into a 65-hour week, matched the energy — he's grateful for an employer that makes him feel valued.
[10:46] — The coworker problem, handled carefully. BeeCuzFuture laid out a genuinely awkward spot: he's the company's first-ever maintenance manager, the mechanic has two years' seniority, and the command structure hasn't caught up. He cleaned the guy's tools and work area unprompted and got no thanks. His conclusion at [12:49] wasn't escalation — it was that forcing the company to choose between them is "a no-win situation."
[21:15] — Research before you move. DARKM N's origin story doubles as advice for newcomers: before touching a pre-sale, he sat in spaces taking notes and learning the lingo — understand blockchains, security, what Solana and Ethereum actually are. And above all, IRL first: "definitely take care of home first before you even consider making a move in web three." The Moonsters nostalgia that follows at [23:21] is its own artifact — the host recalls scrolling across fourteen simultaneous Moonster spaces, someone live essentially 24/7.
[29:15] — Five patents and a Monday meeting. The host credits this place with teaching him to edit pictures, make songs, make video, build websites — and, downstream of all that, to file five patents. The invention: an energy-harvesting suit that converts ordinary human movement into enough power to charge a phone or run a heads-up display, since adapted for humanoid robots. At [30:42] he revealed he's struck a deal with someone now responsible for selling the patents, with a meeting on Monday.
[36:52] — Artistry in trades. Asked about instruments, the host said his hands lost dexterity as a Marine Corps mechanic — then reframed it entirely: those same hands have provided for his family for three years. Could you play the instrument while it's raining liquid metal on you? By [39:52] he'd extended the same respect to an electrician who bundles their runs neatly, calling it as beautiful as well-written code.
[47:53] — The anime detour. Vest came up specifically because anime got mentioned: "probably the nerdiest part of me." Bleach, filler arcs, and the Thousand Year War art style all got a verdict. It led to Vest's recent Tensei raffle buy — hand-drawn work by the artist Suji Pop, one of the rare times he's bought purely for the art rather than the community. And when Vest marveled that it's all hand drawn — "I don't even know how you do that" — the host's [56:47] reply was one word away from perfect: "With your hands, I imagine." His own 2017 pencil drawing of his hand, the only thing he's ever successfully drawn, got put up top; DARKM N said it looked about to jump off the page and slap somebody.
[1:01:15] — Vest on spending time where it counts. Vest talked about supporting OG Peanut's mental health space — going to bed early Wednesdays to be up at 3am for it — and about wanting to get a clinical psychologist with 21 years' experience into more rooms, on the logic that there's no point having good people in communities you never leverage. At [1:04:20] he described a month of reflecting on multi-space days, poor sleep, and diminishing returns, landing on guest-speaking as the better use of time. The host's contribution to the time-economics discussion at [1:02:58] was less strategic and more universal: watching people run spaces in the middle of a US workday and wondering what exactly they all do for money.
[1:06:10] — Solaney's first space. Solaney Kubrick described stumbling into a 6am space as an absolute beginner — strangers around the world on deep sea diving and ancient civilizations — and being struck that it was open and vulnerable without being precious, where people could still give each other shit like adults. The governing spirit, as they put it: as long as you're not bullshitting me, I'm not bullshitting you. It made their whole week, and they hadn't stopped thinking about it since.
[1:24:01] — The hug. The host's sobriety story, told plainly: he used to come home and reach for a beer before interacting with his family. One day last year he took his four-year-old daughter's hug first instead, and something changed. The garage door opening and the run-up hug is now the most important moment of his day — and, he said, more powerful than the beers ever were.
[1:39:24] — Learning to work with the dog, not command it. A hard, honest stretch: raised to believe that if you're bigger than it, it does what you say — dogs and kids alike — the host spanked his husky while dealing with PTSD, took him to Petco training, and found the trainer couldn't replicate his results. Rather than take that as proof, he went to a retired police K9 trainer and relearned the whole thing. The takeaway at [1:40:21] is smaller and better than expected: it doesn't have to be a treat — tone, praise, working together. Which is how you get the story of a daughter who stayed mad for four hours because he didn't look in the oven at the pizza, and a dad who walked her downstairs to look in the empty oven together [1:41:33].
[1:59:35] — The poem. Solaney had been hunting for a Mary Oliver poem since roughly the midpoint of the Space, failed to find it, described it from memory, and then found it much later and read it aloud — a fawn, a confused dog, a doe dreaming everything was fine, and a wish to just go on walking uphill and downhill and looking around. "Reading a poem to someone and then hopping off," they noted at [2:00:37], which is a pretty good exit strategy.
[2:17:57] — JJ's theory of a good day. After explaining cloud efficiency work at GM (over $800k saved last month, over $50M across the year) and a Michigan data center with a direct exchange connection for Ethereum RPC and node hosting, JJ brought it all the way back down to earth: get up, shower, make the bed, cut the grass when it needs cutting, do what you're supposed to do. Not all of it is about money — a lot of it is just being able to peel back the sheets at night knowing you did it.

Who said what
- BeeCuzFuture (@BeeCuzFuture) — host. Maintenance manager, Marine Corps veteran, five patents filed, building a project bridging veterans and civilians. Set the tone: no shill, no topic, just show up and be honest about the worst parts too.
- DARKM N (@Bryan36krun)* — first up, calling in from a cleaning shift. Brought the early-spaces history (Moonsters, SoulSaver, Slick Rick), the research-before-you-move gospel, and the reminder that IRL is the alpha.
- Vest (@Vestoriin)* — came up for anime, stayed for the time-management conversation. Runs a building company, heading to Vietnam; consciously scaling back hosting in favor of guest spots and mental-health rooms.
- Solaney Kubrick (@solaneykubrick)* — the night's most expansive voice. New to spaces, six weeks in, and generous with it: sobriety, ADHD, childhood anxiety, a contented old dog, a grandmother who felt 23, and a poem.
- JJ (@0xJ4Y3)* — late arrival, software engineer at GM leading cloud efficiency, building a data center and RPC/node service, and genuinely convinced blockchain finds its way into everyday infrastructure eventually.
Worth a full listen
- [1:06:06]–[1:15:45] — Solaney's arrival and the time-as-asset exchange with Vest. It moves from "my first space was at 6am and I didn't know the rules" to a real conversation about why ten years at 27 feels like a week, and it's the part of the night where the room found its frequency.
- [1:36:48]–[1:45:17] — Dogs, PTSD, being raised to think the bigger thing wins, and the retired K9 trainer who changed how the host parents. Includes the pizza-in-the-oven story, which is funnier and more tender than any summary of it.
- [1:58:18]–[2:00:37] — The phone-free walk, the ADHD tangent, and then the Mary Oliver poem, hunted for over the better part of an hour and finally read aloud. Worth hearing in the speaker's own voice.
