TL;DR

Highlights

[8:23] "There's a lot of value in being the idiot." Jed opened with a motivational clip about a marketer who admitted, in a room full of C-suite executives, that he didn't understand the consultant's slides — and one by one everyone confessed they didn't either. The point: ask questions until it's simple enough that everyone understands. Jed's tag [10:36]: in web3 nobody knows everything, and anyone who says they do is worth running from.

[12:11] Roll call, with banter. Jed said hello to Sho, joking she's "so used to hearing Drake on loop" that the morning's soul set caught her off guard. Sho promptly tried to hire him as her music person. The room settled happily back into its normal daily time slot after weeks of hopping around the schedule.

[14:04] Cooking with Luna. Luna, sporting a fresh PFP, admitted lunch was going to be a lazy cacio e pepe he'd "try not to mess up" (he'd cracked carbonara the week before — add the cheese off the heat). Jed pitched a weekly "Luna live lunch" video; Luna warmed to it instantly, and Lyss confirmed the network wants more non-web3 video content — hobbies, cooking, passions included.

[16:13] Wolf's 9/11 space. Wolf flagged tomorrow's 9 a.m. Space marking the 25th anniversary of 9/11 — about the survivors and responders, explicitly nothing political, "just humans being good humans." Lyss framed it as a safe place for anyone for whom the day is heavy, speaker or listener. Lee discovered he and Wolf are state neighbors and coined "happy state neighbor."

[26:39] Crono's rose-and-thorn on building both worlds. The clearest technical take of the day. Web2 users scroll past terms of service and hand over KYC without blinking; web3 users keep their "head on a swivel," rightfully guarding their finances. The impossible squeeze: people want full IRL utility and total anonymity, and "you can't gain access if you don't give a little bit of info." His verdict — the systems look seamless but don't connect seamlessly, and "it's not the code, it's the representation and the expectations."

[32:30] The felt as a bridge. GreenVisorGang explained why a poker club made the web2→web3 jump easy: sit with someone at a table for two hours and you actually see the community. On-chain transparency (who's paid in, who's cashed out) solved a real trust problem for poker players, "the first degens before web3." He connected it to the jewelry line — visual identity matters far more in web3 than web2 — and teased 30 hidden pendants inside the upcoming Playful Primates mint that ship to holders in hand.

[39:22] "It's not for sale… but you could have it." GVG confessed how hard it was not to sell the jewelry straight off his own neck at the steakhouse — every piece is founder-approved IP, so there's a process — but the demand was instant. Sho lamented he didn't just show up with a suitcase of them.

[41:42] Chaz on NFT NYC. Tuning in from his clinical-notation day job, Chaz described walking normies from Coinbase/Kraken into MetaMask and OpenSea in person — including a woman running for Congress who bought his art. His bigger takeaway: confidence brings patience. Listen more, breathe, think before speaking — he came home "a different person almost."

[47:18] "Web three is the hardest arena to build in." Rejoining from the Belt Parkway, Jed argued the landscape can shift overnight — a Robinhood pivot, a black-swan crash — so you can't plan far ahead the way a restaurant on a fixed block can. He and Luna then landed the day's optimistic thesis: the real unlock is being able to track and reward your top supporters — the person who minted a Claynosaurz on day one and then walks into the movie gets a wildly different experience than a stranger.

[1:13:12] Slick Ric on the "actor factor." A passionate monologue: web3 is ruthless because people hide as "characters in a movie" with no repercussions. IRL removes that — once you've broken bread with someone, you build sentimental value and are far less likely to dump on them or act maliciously. Web2 is the foundation web3 has been building without: "you're building a house with no foundation."

[1:20:21] Dan: ship in public. A developer since the early 2000s, Dan reframed the whole topic — web2 taught him how to ship, web3 taught him to ship in public, with financial instruments and real stakes. Boring, proven tooling is a compliment; web3 is the live wire. His close echoed the room: it's not web2 versus web3, and the big winners will be companies that use the chain to enhance a web2 experience.
