Re:Envisioning Web3 | What Do You Bring To Your Community?
Host: Lyss (@Lysss302) with co-host Jed (@jed_131) Β· Thu 17 Sep 2026 Β· 2:21:19 Β· ~20 speakers
TL;DR
- Back in the old midday time slot, the Regen crew ran an open roundtable on the question "what do you bring to your community?" β answers ranged from dev work and recaps to simply showing up.
- Burningbush (@BurningBush_eth)* performed Regen Noir, Chapter One: "The Alpha Is IRL" in full [1:28:01] β a hardboiled detective story set in De Stefano's where a mystery wallet sweeps ten Regens and the only real crime is that the buyer just liked the art.
- He also teased chapter two ("The Missing Kowski"), inside-joke cameos for regulars, and a Regen Noir movie in the works [1:42:18].
- Niko (@6XISIV)* shared that his mom got the all-clear on her cancer that morning, and credited the spaces with pulling him out of a hard stretch [30:00-ish, from 29:41].
- Nova (@prollynuthin)* did his first speaker-panel intro β Hooja, OpenPage, Vora Labs β and gave a plain-English rundown of vaulted/echo NFTs and building on Robinhood [49:55], [55:30].
- Jed confirmed his co-op was finally approved after an initial rejection [2:00:52], and he and Lyss confirmed on-mic that they're together β to the surprise of almost nobody [1:59:43].
Highlights
[15:14] β Take the tool, build the thing. Jed pointed at Burningbush as the model answer to the day's question: the recap tool had been sitting there for months, "everybody had the tool, but you actually built something off of it." Reward for initiative: a slot on the advisory board, effective immediately.
[20:16] β May June enters the soundboard hall of fame. Responding to Jed's admission that he still wakes up and tells himself he sucks (though "lately it's only like every other day"), May June (@MayJune20121)* offered her own daily practice with a straight face, and Yot immediately called for it to be clipped. Yot (@yotdog69)* followed with his own return from nine days off β his first in two years β during which Jed and Lyss got married and he got temporarily rugged: "I'm still catching up on everything" [20:56].
[22:37] β The U-Haul bit. Asked to demonstrate Yot's below-monotone delivery, Burningbush improvised a man cheerfully narrating his own death by car fire on the way to his daughter's birth. Mike Campbell (@mikecampbelltv)* grabbed a mic six minutes later purely to confess to being the other driver: "I was so happy that I ran into somebody cool, you know. Cause usually when I run into people, it they're mad" [28:39].
[29:41] β Niko's check-in. He came up to say the room's positive self-talk thread had landed on him, then shared that his mom had beaten cancer and that he'd spent that stretch losing track of who he was. What helped, he said, wasn't perfection β "it was that everybody's going through something... and even if we're not our best selves, we're still there." Lyss picked it up at [33:10] to make the point that nobody here is graded on showing up flawless.
[37:06] β Faith, and the 2 a.m. call. SLICK RIC (@richj530)* offered a gentle counter to Jed's take on church: people go for the same reason they go to the gym β because something's broken and they want structure. He then admitted he'd been scared at 41 years old and got on a FaceTime at two in the morning to talk it out, which set up the funniest exchange of the hour when Jed suggested he go grocery shopping "before the wife slaps you" and Slick fired back about who exactly had a remote pointed at his head watching a love show the night before [49:08].
[44:15] β Bleu's first real hello. Bleu (@bleuallday)* said the room took her back to the early, authentic days β "a fresh cup of water in a very, very, very hot desert" β announced she was going to go buy a Regen, and reframed the church debate: think of it as an ER, everybody's sick, just at different levels. Lyss welcomed her with a full read of her own timeline and a virtual hug [48:26].
[55:30] β The simplest possible Robinhood explainer. Dan (@brokenrealitydh)* asked Nova for thirty seconds on what building on Robinhood actually means for people who keep hearing the buzzword. Nova walked through echo/vault NFTs β deposit on base, withdraw to any chain β and why Hooja is staying Robinhood-native for now. Jed took it as a jumping-off point for his loyalty-rewards thesis: the airdrop meta is dead, the token meta never really existed, and the durable version is giving long-term holders a reason to stay [58:04].
[1:08:47] β Feast vs. famine. Crono (@Crono1000)* described the founder's paradox: starving, you pour everything into the one thing in front of you; at a feast, you'll never get to taste it all and you feel like you're failing everyone. Jed agreed he always feels ahead in one lane and behind in another, then flipped Crono's "we're just little ants" into the day's most quotable ambition β that the people in this room won't leave a small mark [1:15:11]. Sufz later pushed the frame one step further [1:24:59].
[1:21:19] β A tagline is born. Dan, coaxed into repeating it: "My name is Dan Greenberg, and I give a shit." Jed immediately put in a t-shirt order. Dan then explained his actual philosophy β he wants to be the dumbest person in the room so he can listen, and he wrote a song about it β which paired neatly with Jed's Simon Sinek quote about the power of being the idiot who asks the questions.
[1:28:01] β Regen Noir, Chapter One. Eleven minutes of fully-committed detective pastiche: Woof working security nobody hired him for, McFly silhouetted in the Brooklyn rain removing sunglasses at night to announce that IRL is the alpha, Lyss muting 17 speaker requests, and an investigation conducted entirely via tagged rooftop-party photos. The resolution β some guy just liked the art β was described as "almost disappointing." Burningbush then turned it straight into the thesis of the space at [1:43:44]: find the thing that fires you up and point it at your community.
[1:46:18] β The homework. Lyss closed the topic by asking everyone to reach out to one person and tell them their impact β "don't just assume they know" β and at [2:07:33] connected it back to Jed's story of getting an out-of-nowhere text from Adam. Her broader point: communities aren't built only by devs and founders, and most people don't notice what they bring because it comes naturally to them.
[1:49:02] β Founders aren't getting rich here. Jed, unprompted: almost two years as a Regen co-founder, roughly 30k down, free mint, no royalties, treasury built by buying Regens himself β and the same is true for most of the founders in the room. Lyss thumbs-downed him live for underselling how much he gives away [1:50:38]. Yot extended it from the Fugs side at [1:54:26]: not profitable yet, but 200k web2 followers and product sellouts, and "none of it matters if this community just decide to up and leave."
[2:03:23] β "Don't ever devalue yourself." Cortez (@CaliApe_22)* recounted meeting Adam in LA, starting to apologize for not being a dev or a builder, and getting stopped mid-sentence. He shared his own fork in the road β being locked up, then choosing differently for his family β and passed the line on to the room. Flying into Newark the next day for De Stefano's.

Who said what
- Lyss (@Lysss302) β host; set the topic, held the emotional throughline, and closed with the "tell someone their impact" homework. Also the room's designated reality check on Jed underselling himself.
- Jed (@jed_131) β co-host and de facto DJ; candid about anxiety, feeling behind in one lane while ahead in another, and the unglamorous math of being a bootstrapped founder. Bullish on unvault and loyalty rewards.
- Burningbush (@BurningBush_eth) β performed Regen Noir Chapter One start to finish, ran the deadpan U-Haul bit, and delivered the space's clearest call to action: lean into the thing you're actually good at.
- Niko (@6XISIV) β shared his mom's cancer news and how the spaces helped him find himself again; offered himself as an ear for anyone else.
- SLICK RIC (@richj530) β the faith and gratitude voice; reframed church as a gym for broken people and admitted to a 2 a.m. call off the ledge.
- Bored Osaka (@BoredOsaka1) β breath work, reframes, and "less of me, more of him"; insisted everyone in the room is a developer of relationships.
- Nova (@prollynuthin) β first time on panel; OpenPage / Vora Labs background, launching Hooja, explained vaults and cross-chain NFTs in plain terms.
- Crono (@Crono1000) β feast-vs-famine on founder attention, plus a thoughtful take on faith as permission to be imperfect.
- Dan (@brokenrealitydh) β recaps (one of which roasted Chicken Wizard), the "dumbest person in the room" philosophy, and the tagline now destined for t-shirts.
- Yot (@yotdog69) β back from nine days off; on Fugs' web2 growth, bootstrapped reality, and why core holders get fed when monetization comes.
- Cortez (@CaliApe_22) β the Adam story and "don't ever devalue yourself"; heading to De Stefano's the next night.
- Celeste (@CelesteWAO) β purple vibes, 60-70 DMs a day, and the line Jed loved: she wants to be the best host, full stop.
- Sufz (@Sufz3_) β consistent daily posts since February; widened the room's ambition from web3 to the world.
- Woof (@WoofArmyXX) β good-natured about being cast as unhired security in every episode of Regen Noir.
- Chicken Wizard (@ChickenWizardX) β app feature #132, promised to keep it short, and did not.
- UnrealApe (@UnrealApe) β nine comics in a three-hour stream; Panel House has hit a stride.
- Bleu (@bleuallday) β newcomer turned near-holder; brings clarity on contracts, platforms and ownership.
- Mike Campbell (@mikecampbelltv) β came up solely to take responsibility for the U-Haul.
Worth a full listen
- [1:28:01] β [1:40:55] β Regen Noir Chapter One, uncut. Summarizing it is like summarizing a joke; the pacing, the McFly speech and the "some guy just liked the art" anticlimax only work at full length.
- [29:41] β [43:56] β Niko, Lyss and Slick Ric back to back. The clearest demonstration of what the space actually is: hard news, grace, faith, and a 3 a.m. phone call, ending in grocery-shopping banter.
- [1:58:37] β [2:15:11] β Cortez, Jed and Lyss on self-worth, the co-op approval, and "it's just a conversation" β with Bored Osaka reporting that the same advice got him through a call with a senior VP that morning.
