"...on ya six...😎🫵"

TL;DR

Highlights

[6:21] The red box, and the town that went from 3 cafés to 16. Uncle Corvus explained why he's so "staunch" about people saying good morning in his group chat, via the coffee shop he ran before his stroke: 90 kilos in week one against the other shops' 25, deals with tourism boards, a town that turned into a hub. And a one-metre square of red sticky tape by the register — if you ordered without saying good morning back, you were invited to go stand in the sin bin. "There were lines out the door because people wanted to just be hanging around people that were like-minded."

[11:20] Handing the room back. After a long riff, Corvus caught himself: "Oh fucking, this is my space. No, I'm joking… this is not about me. I'm just holding this because it's died in the ass. The host is over there next to me." Dan picked the thread straight back up with "since that's the case — Lil Southern, you said you had some more questions about ADHD," and the actual space began.

[13:29] The line that framed the hour. Dan on what the medication changed: "without my meds, my brain determines my priority list, not me." He described getting stuck for two days on how he broke a shoelace — not the shoelace, the forensics of it.

[14:23] The laundry chain. Lil Southern answered with the definitive ADHD odyssey: shoelace → sock on the floor → is the sock dirty → laundry room → clothes in the washer that never made the dryer → need a basket → something on the kitchen counter → freezer → "what did I walk in here for? Oh yeah, I forgot the batteries." Corvus, wounded: "I'm so triggered, I can't stop. Stop, Lil Southern. You're killing me. I'm rocking in the corner here." Speaker 4 supplied the ending — six hours and seventeen tasks later, he finally took out the trash.

[19:02] The rubber band. Speaker 4 shared the mindfulness practice he built during a rough stretch: a rubber band on the wrist, snapped whenever his thoughts started running the show, as a physical cue to "change the tape." His point was that meds don't replace the practice — new synapses get wired either way, and the conditioning still has to be done.

[33:30] One variable at a time. Dan walked through coming out of the VA with three pill bottles — anxiety, depression, chronic pain, sleep, all treated separately — and a six-month window of 2018 he simply doesn't remember. His practical advice to Lil Southern, who wants off her depression medication: change one thing at a time, "it's a little bit slower, but it's a lot more effective at troubleshooting."

[35:49] Overwhelm isn't anxiety. Lil Southern's analogy for years of carrying the whole mental and physical load: imagine being the surgeon, the nurse and the anesthesiologist, running the entire hospital and seeing every patient yourself. Corvus sat with it — "overwhelming is such a fine line, isn't it" — and offered the counterweight quote about falling and flying.

[42:31] The disclaimer, and a consent check. Corvus paused the room to flag that a recorded space full of medication talk needs a warning label: consult your physician, get a second opinion, "don't toy with medication." Speaker 4's deadpan addendum — you don't need a doctor's note to read his book — got the room. Corvus then offered both guests editorial veto over the AI-generated recap before it posts; both waved it through, Dan with "whatever recap comes up with, I'm good with it, bro."

[46:35] Why every space was called #1. Dan explained that he used to title all of his spaces "Give a shit, collect your thoughts #1" on purpose: someone might show up tonight who actually needs help, and for them this is the most important space there is.

[56:51] The Monster hill. Dan mentioned rehab Monsters as a taurine-and-caffeine option; Corvus took it somewhere else entirely, declaring the logo a triple mark of the beast and the tipped can an inverted cross. "Call me crazy, I will die on this hill." Dan, unruffled: "Well, I wasn't expecting all that." Starbucks smoothies caught a stray on the way out, and Corvus promptly volunteered to edit his own rants out of the recap.

[1:03:30] The swear jar escalation. Closing out, Corvus asked Wolf for accountability: if he swears as a speaker in Wolf's space, demote him to listener. The cookie jar at home has stopped working — "all I'm seeing is the kid take the coins and go buy lollies for herself. This ain't fair."

Notable quotes

Who said what

UNCLE CORVUS (@unclecorvus) — host and caretaker of the room, keeping it open when it could have closed. Brought the café stories, the undiagnosed-and-staying-that-way stance, the L-theanine protocol, the disclaimer, and roughly every tangent; also the one insisting the credit belonged to Dan.

Dan Greenberg / BeeCuzFuture (@BeeCuzFuture) — the actual host of the night's topic and the steadiest voice in it. Shared his diagnosis journey, VA medication history and PTSD honestly, kept returning to "talk to a doctor, track your own reactions, go one step at a time," and closed with the Give a Shit Anthem.

Lil Southern — the reason the conversation happened. Waiting on cardiology clearance for a stimulant, asked the direct questions, and shared a lot: CPTSD, autoimmune disease, hemiplegic migraines, life after an abusive relationship, and the best friend who moved in two months ago and changed everything.

Speaker 4 — offered the mindfulness angle, the rubber-band cue, and his book Coyotes and Crows, written out of his own experience of a long toxic relationship.
