Re:Building Together EP 337 — Two Years of ReGenerates
Host: CEELOS (@CEELOSFIGG) with cohosts ValerieKates (@valeriekates_) and Baked (@Bakedmetax) · Mon, Sep 28 2026 · 1:12:18 · ~9 speakers
TL;DR
- Episode 337 doubled as the two-year anniversary of the ReGenerates, so the whole hour was regens: mint-day nostalgia, early activations, and a Builditron full of archive posts [1:45].
- Baked pinned original mint-day posts and early activation threads for anyone who wanted to scroll through year one [11:57].
- Jed announced a $1.10 open edition honoring 0xQuit — 100% of proceeds to him, plus regens for top minters and two random token IDs [54:15].
- Jed also floated bringing back the mob wars / gang wars activation, the hit-list-and-riddle format he ran at Killer Bears, now that the community is big enough to carry it [51:18].
- A real security PSA broke out: revoke.cash, batch revokes across every chain you've touched, and Jed's reminder that Ledger has been hacked too — don't over-invest [56:25].
- Baked resurfaced Lyss's very first AI image (a reindeer and a floating tree) as a "look how far you've come" tribute, which she received with the warmth of a betrayed older sister [45:42].
Highlights
[10:55] Two years old, freshly potty trained. CEELOS on the milestone: "we're just getting out of diapers." Thrill's assessment of what happens next — "Start running all over this bitch" — was, in fairness, an accurate forecast for the rest of the hour.
[12:25] How CEELOS got in. He traced his own whitelist back to holding base minis, a mint he still can't fully explain getting into, and then went through two years of camera roll — pre-AI Photoshop edits he's grudgingly proud of, the gang wars activation, and the batch of Mechsicko one-of-ones handed out in Discord rumbles in late 2024.
[14:53] The leatherface grudge, still fresh. Baked has a 1-of-10 trophy from the horror quiz and a permanent grievance: he answered the last question with the actor's name instead of the character's. "I'm gonna let bygones be bygones, and I'm gonna antagonize whoever told them the leatherface." LadyWings [17:29] offered perspective — of all the things to be mad about, that's the one — and later [18:47] the line that stuck: "the trees that grow slow have great strong roots."
[26:02] LadyWings on the circles-on-a-phone family. She made the case that she's more engaged with, and has more respect for, the people in these rooms than the people she passes on the street: "I wouldn't know you on the street, but I know your heart from in here." She also lodged a formal request with Elon for an ape face whose mouth moves when she talks.
[31:34] zGhostin's origin story. Only in NFTs since November, only in regens since January, and he hand-picked his PFP out of Jed's wallet — he likes to buy directly from a founder if he can. He's been in Jed's wallet "frequently" since, with unclear consent. At [34:51] he framed what web3 gave him that comics and Pokémon cards never did: with cardboard you hold it alone and nobody can see it; here there's a room to talk to.
[45:55] Jed arrives, immortalized as a shitcoin. On the old photo of him flexing that keeps resurfacing: someone in another community launched it as a token on Pump.fun, and since it's on the blockchain, it's there forever. He's made peace with it — mostly — and is working on getting back to that form.
[47:08] Lyss discovers she's been discussed. She stepped out for a call and came back to find Baked had posted her first-ever AI image on the Builditron. "I always reference him as my little brother, and I feel betrayed." The bit escalated into a full audit of who actually makes her art — Jed suggested three from Baked, three from Wolf, maybe three from CEELOS — before she landed on "I get along with a little help from my friends" [48:40] and pivoted it into a genuinely good recruiting pitch: you cannot be worse than my reindeer, come learn here.
[51:18] Mob wars, revisited. Jed walked through the original Killer Bears version: monthly riddles, lore about the characters, hits sent into DMs, 50–60 bears sniped on war days with the floor at 0.3–0.4. Gang wars didn't land the way he wanted in November 2024, but he thinks with two years of community and the right storytellers, it's worth running back.
[54:15] The 0xQuit mint. Jed's read is that without Quit, the space would have been looking at hundreds of apes, quirkies and creeps gone and hundreds of loans triggered — and, worse, broken spirits it would be very hard to recover from. So: a punk-style Mechsicko piece, minted at $1.10 (a dollar for the cause, a dime for OpenSea), because not everyone has $50 but everyone has a buck, with regens going to top minters and two random token IDs.
[58:00] "You're never 100% safe in crypto." Building on CEELOS's revoke.cash reminder, Jed noted that Ledger's backdoor hack cost people hundreds of thousands, so none of these tools are absolution — they're just friction. His actual rule is exposure, not tooling: don't get over-invested, and if you can't buy it with cash, don't buy it.
[1:02:48] The trending flex, with a snow-and-floating-trees garnish. Jed's outro opened with a callback to Lyss's reindeer ("I felt like it was the winter and I was sinking in the snow and there's trees floating around me"), then turned sincere: regens were the #1 trending story, driven entirely by community posts, and he asked people to imagine what a daily cadence from everyone would compound into.
[1:06:26] Everyone was bad at this once. SLICK RIC* admitted he used to send everything to Wolf — "woof, whip this up, woof, get this" — until someone showed him two things and it turned out to be easy; he bought SuperGrok to learn animation and credits this space for it. Jed's parallel: he paid someone to snipe for him for a year before spending five minutes learning to gas up himself.

Who said what
- CEELOS — host; ran the anniversary as a guided tour of his own camera roll, from base minis whitelist to jersey swaps, and handled the revoke.cash safety reminder.
- Baked — cohost; pinned the mint-day archive, kept the leatherface grudge alive, shared that his regen tattoo is already 11 months old with a second planned, and started the Lyss bit.
- ValerieKates — cohost; checked in from her Ape Church stream, fought her Android, and delivered the single most devastatingly timed "that was very good" [1:01:52] while on a phone call.
- Jed (@jed_131)* — founder; announced the 0xQuit open edition, pitched the mob wars revival, gave the hardest-nosed security talk of the hour, and closed on the compounding value of one post a day.
- Lyss (@Lysss302)* — turned her own art-history embarrassment into the clearest onboarding pitch of the space: everyone starts somewhere, come here and start.
- LadyWings (@tracy_winki)* — the room's resident aphorist; slow roots, iron sharpening iron, and a serious point about knowing people's hearts through their voices.
- zGhostin — newest of the day-ones-adjacent; explained why collecting finally clicked when there was a community attached.
- SLICK RIC (@richj530)* — pulled up for the anniversary, clarified for the record that the eyebrows are threaded, not plucked, and later traced his own AI learning curve back to this space.
- Thrill (@ThrillsOnHood)* — brought birthday wishes from Pinto Ron and the reminder that CEELOS's PFP win was community-voted.
Worth a full listen
- [45:55]–[49:09] — Jed's arrival through the full Lyss-and-the-reindeer sequence. The pacing is the joke; quoting it flattens it.
- [54:15]–[59:56] — Jed's uninterrupted run from the 0xQuit mint into what would have happened to the space without him, then straight into the Ledger hack and over-investing. The most substantive stretch of the hour.
- [1:02:48]–[1:08:17] — the outro round, where the floating-trees callback, the #1 trending news, and everyone confessing how bad they used to be at their own tools all land in the same five minutes.
