BLACKFEATHER REFLECTIONS 2.0 🪶 — The Call to Stand
Host: UNCLE CORVUS (@unclecorvus) with co-host Lady Corvus (@The_Lady_Corvus) · Tue 29 Sep 2026 · 3h 23m · ~6 speakers (plus one Suno song)
TL;DR
- First-ever Blackfeather Reflections space: half campfire storytelling, half a prepared "call to stand" sermon built on the armor of God (Ephesians 6).
- Uncle Corvus announced the Blackfeather Reflections doctrine — a 44-week, 11-module book heading to the printers next week in leather-bound, digital, Kindle and audiobook formats, plus a field guide for churches, and an accompanying 16-track album, The Black Feather Mahogany Sessions.
- The page has been renamed Blackfeather Stronghold with a new logo; he now asks to be called "the steward," not founder or CEO.
- Dan played the first song, "Stand," live in the space [2:31:57] — the room loved it.
- Housekeeping that matters: Tiny Vikings (Lars) has a new castle-busters game, Jobu's time machine and arcade are rolling, and Destiny Rescue donations are handled entirely on Destiny Rescue's own system — Blackfeather never touches a cent [3:06:00].
- A genuine goosebumps moment when Margie B's Facebook coincidence landed on the exact date of Uncle Corvus's estranged siblings' birthday [2:13:13].
Highlights
[6:04] The conference, and a case for a jacked Jesus. Uncle Corvus recapped the weekend conference and went straight into the thesis that anchors the whole space: Jesus was a tekton, a master builder, not a soft-focus figure in a silk robe. Lady Corvus added the part she thinks gets missed — the masculinity was in the emotional control and the care for the people around him, not just the trade.
[10:33] Where "go the extra mile" comes from. Lady Corvus shared the Roman occupation origin of the phrase — soldiers could compel Jews to carry their gear one mile, and Jesus told the disciples to pick the packs back up and go a second. She reprises it in full at [1:27:06] at her husband's request, despite a fever and a voice she wasn't sure anyone wanted to hear.
[31:00] The dog poo protest. Two-year-old Uncle Corvus, already on thin ice after spooking a delivery horse and feeding his grandfather's clothes into the fire, got tied to a tree by his grandmother. His escape plan was negotiation with a hostage: "if you don't untie me from this tree, I'm gonna eat this dog poo." She called the bluff. He did not bluff. They never tied him to the tree again [32:00].
[34:00] The car accident, the coma, and the first words. A drunk driver at roughly 140 km/h T-boned the family car and put it in a neighbour's roof. A fractured arm turned into meningitis turned into a months-long coma his father was told he might not survive. The doctors piling into the room weren't a code — it was a small boy standing on the bed throwing things at them, furiously demanding in Spanish that somebody feed him [37:56].
[1:11:32] Yucky Ducks, crayons, and the world's most specific compliment. Margie B's love letter to Dan's PFP — crayon in the mouth, a Marine joke made literal — opened up a whole thread on crayons as childhood best friends, glue-peeling, and Uncle Corvus confessing he used to huff the school duplicator ink for fifteen minutes of peace in the teacher's cupboard [51:19]. Dan also explained the tribe-coloured background, made by Ava in support of Rex.
[1:14:38] Wizard summons umbra; Hulk is informed of his actual dimensions. Dan recounted the timeline bit where his wizard summoned an umbra to drive a biker around like a toy car, prompting the other party to threaten to call in Hulk. Dan's reply: "Hulk isn't as big as Hulk thinks he is." Uncle Corvus, who had earlier put half the space on wombats, possums and a platypus, approved.
[1:31:49] Footprints, and the turn into the sermon. The footprints-in-the-sand retelling is where the room went quiet — one set of footprints because he carried you, and you didn't even know it. From there the space becomes the prepared piece: Ephesians 6:10–11, soul versus system, the distinction between tolerance and endurance, and the line that reflection has to become readiness [1:33:15].
[1:43:22] "People are not the enemy." The core of the call to stand: the struggle isn't flesh and blood, so the moment you start treating neighbours, family or people who disagree with you as the enemy, deception has already done its work. Then the image that landed hardest — the devil won't wrestle you for your sword, he'll arrange for you to put it down, via exhaustion, compromise or resentment [1:44:45].
[2:11:13] December 28th. Margie B shared that her brother passed on December 28th, and that going to wish a childhood neighbour happy birthday had surfaced a seven-year-old post of his — a sign, she said, that she was where she was meant to be. Uncle Corvus had to stop for a moment: the 28th of December is his twin brother and sister's birthday, and he's been estranged from them for eight years. "As much as it was a coincidence for you… that was like a dagger in my heart" [2:14:28].
[2:20:03] Two koalas on one walk. Lady Corvus's contribution to the signs conversation: a year ago, mid-argument with God about whether he was listening at all, she spotted a koala in a eucalypt on a bushwalk — then 200 yards on, a second one. She calls them fuzzy butts. She rang her husband crying.
[2:31:57] "Stand." Dan queued up the Suno track from his garage computer (after finishing his cereal — Uncle Corvus refused to cut into a man's cereal time [2:18:24]). Six minutes of the doctrine set to guitars, and a genuinely unhinged "let's fucking go" on the other side of it [2:38:32]. Dan's one production note: try anime fight-song energy in the prompts [2:43:03].
[3:06:00] The money, spelled out. Detailed, deliberately boring transparency on Destiny Rescue: donations go directly through Destiny Rescue's own link and finance team, Blackfeather takes nothing, never DM anyone your wallet. Challenge entries work the same way — he only ticks a box in the app once the receipt lands. He also noted roughly $10k funds a rescue raid with local law enforcement, and ~$2,500 sustains a rescued child for a year.

Who said what
- Uncle Corvus (@unclecorvus) — host, self-described steward. Carried the space: childhood war stories, the Blackfeather origin (a token rug that "cracked the mantle"), the full call-to-stand sermon, and all the ecosystem updates. Also dispensed the day's cooking advice on crocodile tail marinated in kiwi.
- Lady Corvus (@The_Lady_Corvus) — co-host, running a fever and insisting she wouldn't talk much, then delivering two of the best segments: the origin of "go the extra mile" [1:27:06] and the two koalas [2:20:03]. Deuteronomy 31:8 for Margie.
- Margie B — the space's heart and its most generous talker: crayons, chalk-licking for 10 cents, a long tribute to the room at [1:59:10], and the December 28th coincidence that stopped the host mid-sentence. Also the resident Spanish-language authority and enforcer of proper gata grammar.
- Dan — Yucky Ducks team affiliate, twelve-and-a-half-hour workday, explained creator rewards without asking anyone for anything [42:15], then rescued the space's audio by playing "Stand" from his garage.
- Ryan — dropped in warmly to back Dan's Yucky Ducks spot and to confirm he had hoped Margie wasn't about to say she'd sniffed the glue [1:00:20].
- Bammy — spent most of the space in the request queue as a running bit, apologised on arrival, and was told at length that apologising is not how you enter this house [3:20:14].
Worth a full listen
- [1:31:49] – [1:51:00] — The unbroken twenty minutes of the call to stand. It's the reason the space exists, it reads as the doctrine's actual introduction, and the summary can't carry the cadence.
- [2:11:13] – [2:18:24] — Margie B's story about her brother and the Facebook post, and Uncle Corvus discovering mid-response that the date is his own siblings' birthday. Unscripted, and both of them know it.
- [2:31:57] – [2:40:20] — "Stand" in full, followed by the plan for an old-school album-drop space where everyone reads the liner notes between tracks. Bring water, bring dancing shoes.
