Re:Envisioning Web3 | FUD or Feedback?
Host: Lyss (@Lysss302) with co-host Burningbush (@BurningBush_eth) Β· Wed, Sep 23 2026 Β· 2:02:22 Β· ~13 speakers
TL;DR
- X fought the Space and lost slowly: four failed starts, an invisible room, and a host who couldn't unmute. Jed (@jed_131) opened with music and a Simon Sinek leadership clip, then left for a barber appointment Lyss described as one of the very few excuses she accepts [11:27].
- The unplanned main topic became space cadence: daily one-to-two-hour rooms vs. Panda's 8β12 hour weekly marathons. Panda showed up in person to defend the trade-offs [1:05:08].
- Discord vs. X got a real airing β Super (@SHGFees) on Fugs' monthly Underground AMA and "way over six figures" returned to holders [29:24]; Burningbush framing Discord as "the community's coffee house" [34:02].
- Bagel (@Bagelism) gave the actual title topic its best run: his Bored Ape merch-discount take got labeled FUD, and he explained why it wasn't [37:17]β[42:26]. Jed agreed flatly: loyalty rewards were the whole point.
- Chicken Wizard (@ChickenWizardX) cleared up the "lazy European" bit about Yot (@yotdog69) and turned it into a case for founders taking time off. Yot, for the record: nine days in two years [1:16:17].
- Housekeeping that mattered: the Regen Noir trailer is live and pinned, Burning Bush runs nightly at 9:30pm ET, and a loose Art Basel Miami housing plan formed on air.
Highlights
[9:24] The cold open doubles as the thesis. While waiting for the room to exist, Jed played a leadership clip about a boss who never answered a question and never yelled β "he held space for us" β then said that's exactly why he talks about his own bad shit on air. Lyss circled back to it an hour later as the through-line of the whole episode [51:56].
[15:59] Dan drops the recap numbers. Dan (@brokenrealitydh) checked in with stats: 598 episodes, 656,000 live reactions recorded, ~1,100 hours of audio. He also noted that Panda's community has been feeding him product feedback, and that Panda has started approving and sharing his own recaps β an accidental feedback loop [18:46].
[22:02] The marathon-space question. Jed put it to Yot: could you run one eight-to-twelve hour space a week? Yot's answer was immediate and load-bearing [23:14]. He conceded he likes the togetherness β a two-hour Fugs space on Monday had him gritting his teeth by the end β but a full day of yapping isn't happening.
[26:04] Lyss lays out the daily-space case. She'd asked Panda the same thing directly and came back unconvinced on ROI for herself: nobody's present for eight straight hours, so the good parts get missed. Her preference is a home base people know exists every day, with topics logged in advance β this was episode 339. Burningbush added the sane middle at [33:14]: never schedule a long space, just don't cap a good one.
[29:24] Super on what Discord actually tells you. Fugs runs a monthly community AMA ("Fugs Underground"), with whitelists, game nights and prizes all holder-gated. His sharpest point was on sentiment: emoji reactions are an honest read on what people care about β "whether you're getting clowned or whether the reactions are just low compared to what you thought they would be."
[37:17] Bagel makes the FUD-vs-feedback case. He recapped the Bored Ape "biker gang" comparison discussion β where he argued that a 10β15% holder discount on merch is a reasonable ask, since a buyer wearing a $35 shirt is doing marketing for the collection. Some called it a cook, some called him slurs. He was warm about Figgy's intent, disagreed with the analogy, and got DMs from Yuga folks afterward thanking him [45:04]. Jed's reply [42:26]: in 2021 a 10% merch discount would have been the thing people FUDded as too small.
[46:15] What counts as utility. Lyss listed tables she's sat at, people she's met and business advice she's gotten as real regen utility. Jed agreed and then pushed further [48:26]: networking access is a nice-to-have, not the main event β he wants a direct correlation between company success and holders, "steady alignment."
[59:56] Mike Campbell's 2022 war stories. Paid Discord mod for a project that took 13,000 people in 12 hours, he became the human bridge between Discord and Spaces because each crowd hated the other platform. He once started a Saturday space because he missed his friends, handed off to a co-host to watch a movie with his wife, and came back to find it still running ten hours in [1:01:22].
[1:05:08] Panda defends the marathon. Once-weekly creates scarcity and FOMO and lets you cover a week's worth of market, news and depth; daily builds mindshare and catches different schedules but risks community fatigue. His verdict was genuinely even-handed β "maybe the happy medium is three times a week." His origin story follows: 2017 ICO era, skipped Bitcoin straight to Ethereum, and a Telegram group that taught him he was good at bringing people together [1:12:11].
[1:23:00] Chicken Wizard reframes his own bit. He owned the "lazy European" joke, then corrected it: Europeans aren't lazy, they front-load life. From there to a real point β founder burnout is underrated, founders' time should be valued, and calling for a merch discount isn't FUD [1:25:56]. He also shared that he minted Fugs days before his daughter was born.
[1:28:30] The NFTs that actually mean something. Lyss described an LT3 that Sho (@AgogoKaren) gifted her while she was in the hospital with her dad in July, and a conversation with a collector who sees his son at a certain age every time he looks at one piece. Super followed with his own [1:32:04] β his trait-less regen as a stand-in for vulnerability β plus a nerdy appreciation of how regens make normally-rare traits accessible, so an alien lists just above floor.
[1:47:19] Super gets asked for a better closing and delivers one. After a compliment that Lyss rejected on procedural grounds ("I don't need the compliments"), he ran the full pitch: LT3, Fugs, regens, the steakhouse as a Web3 hub that doesn't need to rent venues, and a line about people who bend the world rather than let it bend them. Slick Ric (@richj530) closed the loop at [1:53:31] with a bit about choosing to focus on blessings and the higher you climb, the more devils come out.

Notable quotes
- "Find me the time, bro. Fucking hell. What how on earth? Like I uh honestly, unless we're just doing spaces, there ain't no way I've got eight to ten hours in a day to sit and yap." β Yot [23:14]0:38
- "I'll tell you what it does do well, it gives you a very solid insight into what people give a fuck about. Um simply through emoji reactions, whether you're getting clowned or whether the reactions are just low compared to what you thought they would be." β Super [29:24]0:38
- "I give feedback where I see fit, I give feedback to collections that I care about, I give feedback to collections that I want to see win, even if I'm not invested in them." β Bagel [37:17]0:38
- "I'm not going to ask you to do anything that I wouldn't do." β Lyss, quoting her dad's sergeant, on why she shows up daily [1:08:06]0:38
- "It was nine days, everyone... I had nine days off in the last two years. Suddenly it's turned into seven months. I temporarily rugged, and I'm like a cultural icon for European laziness. Fucking brilliant." β Yot [1:16:17]0:38
- "I think with bagel, that's not FUD, it's just feedback." β Chicken Wizard [1:25:40]0:38
Who said what
- Lyss (@Lysss302) β host; held the room together through four X restarts, argued the daily-space case, and steered the back half toward what NFTs mean personally rather than financially.
- Jed (@jed_131) β co-host and founder; opened with the leadership clip, got a permission slip for his haircut, and made the sharpest structural point of the day: networking access is a bonus, direct holder alignment is the goal.
- Burningbush (@BurningBush_eth) β co-host, hosting from the golf course with his dad; clubhouse-era veteran on long rooms, and Discord-as-coffee-house evangelist. Regen Noir trailer is his.
- Bagel (@Bagelism) β delivered the title topic's central argument: holder discounts on merch are reasonable feedback, not FUD, and the lines between the two get blurred by tone more than substance.
- Super (@SHGFees) β LT3 founder; on Discord as the intimate end of the funnel, Fugs-style community meetings, and a closing pitch he was talked into and then absolutely landed.
- Yot (@yotdog69) β Fugs founder; good-natured target of the vacation running joke, and the room's voice for "two hours is plenty."
- Panda (@PandaPals__) β ran the counterargument for weekly 8β12 hour rooms, then gave a genuinely good 2017-to-now origin story.
- Dan (@brokenrealitydh) β recap builder; stats, and the connector who got Panda into the room in the first place.
- Mike Campbell (@mikecampbelltv) β history lesson on marathon spaces and the Discord/Spaces information gap, plus the best "my wife wanted to watch a movie" handoff story in Web3.
- Chicken Wizard (@ChickenWizardX) β turned a joke about European vacations into an argument for respecting founder burnout, and gave the cleanest FUD-vs-feedback definition of the episode.
- Sho (@AgogoKaren) β arrived post-massage; clarified that she does not FUD Yot, she bullies him, and closed with "don't be jerks in the space."
- Slick Ric (@richj530) β showed up from room-dad duty to deliver the closing motivational segment on choosing your focus and welcoming haters.
Worth a full listen
- [37:17]β[46:15] β Bagel's full account of the ape merch-discount debate, the fallout, and Jed's agreement. This is the topic the Space was named for, argued carefully by someone who's been on the receiving end of the FUD label, and the summary flattens the nuance.
- [1:05:08]β[1:13:43] β Panda unabridged: the daily-vs-weekly trade-off analysis is more balanced than any recap can convey, and the 2017 Telegram-group story about discovering he was good at convening people is worth hearing in his own words.
- [1:46:48]β[1:52:43] β Super gets told his compliment doesn't count as a closer, is asked for something better, and produces one on the spot. A small live demonstration of the thing the room keeps saying it's for.
