Re:Envisioning Web3 #343 | Sunday Re:Flection, Re:Charge & Re:Set
Host: Lyss (@Lysss302) with cohosts Jed (@jed_131)* and Superhighgasfees (@SHGFees) Β· Sun, Sep 27, 2026 Β· 1:24:42 Β· ~12 voices on stage
TL;DR
- Episode 343 of the consecutive daily space, framed as a Sunday reset after a rough Saturday in which a drainer hit people (Jed lost four Quirkies) and the room rallied in an emergency space.
- Lyss delivered the core sermon of the day: don't let one bad moment convince you you're having a bad life, and don't let your ego outrank a friendship [17:17].
- Super used the room to publicly re-commit after a quiet stretch β "I'm not throwing in the fucking towel" β and got Rocky's "Eye of the Tiger" played at him for his trouble [41:04].
- Burningbush (Lee) mock-prosecuted Super for skipping Regen Noir, then turned it into real founder advice about not letting community drama eat your routine [38:02].
- Two rounds of the Burning Bush Hot Seat: RarePattern [1:02:03] and Celeste [1:18:00], 30 seconds each, no project shilling allowed.
- Announcements: Lee added a 2pm ET Regen Noir recap space for European listeners [45:19], the nightly show stays at 9:30pm ET, and the space was renamed mid-stream from "Sunday Fun Day" to "Sunday Reflection" [44:12].
Highlights
[12:37] The Gary V clip, and what stuck from it. Jed cued up ~50 seconds of Gary Vaynerchuk on optimism as "the most practical human trait and rarely deployed" [13:04], then built on it: after yesterday's drain incident, he'd shifted from "fuck these people" to something closer to pity for whatever life produces someone who drains strangers [14:18]. He credited the person who caught it in time and Lyss for opening the emergency space: "It's easy to show up when things are good... when things are bad, that's when you want your leaders to step up" [15:47].
[17:17] Lyss on the tyranny of one bad moment. The Sunday motivation, delivered slowly and on purpose: you can have a great week, accomplish a ton, and then let a single thing set the tone for everything. Her ask was practical β reset with the person you're currently stubborn with, because "your ego is not worth more than that friendship" [18:46].
[20:31] Super's morning thought. Super talked about making mistakes in his first time in this kind of position and caring more about the response than the mistake, closing with "I'm not throwing in the fucking towel" [21:55]. Jed gave him grace ("you're 24, bro"), Lyss went full talent-show judge β and the bit fell apart when Super turned out not to know who Simon Cowell is [24:23].
[25:25] Woof, brunch, and the space he almost cancelled. Fresh off night turns and a full day in the sun at the game with Meow (her first β they lost, which he took personally), Woof admitted he woke up wanting to cancel his 9am space, briefly considered a "Liz and Jed move" of starting at 9-ish, and then started on time anyway [26:49]. Jed's reply: "these spaces can be medicine sometimes... the days that I have my best spaces are the days I don't want to do it" [27:02].
[30:59] Burningbush files a formal grievance. Lee's running bit about Super being "kidnapped" and then failing to appear for the episode of Regen Noir about his own return β including the filler chapter he had to write in Super's absence about a Korean meme coin featuring a cat with fries on his face [32:27]. Jed's assessment of that plot device was that it sounded like an upgrade.
[34:36] Then he took the joke apart himself. When Super started answering the bit seriously, Lee cut in: "This is not real life, dude. Real life is real fucking life" β he'd taken an afternoon off spaces himself for family. That led into genuinely useful founder advice [38:02]: every community has people who don't see eye to eye, most people don't even follow the drama, and letting it occupy your head costs you the routine that actually matters.
[35:47] Super, plugged back in. The answer Lyss was fishing for arrived: he described falling into a trap of his own making, actively learning rather than just nodding along, and a plan for the day β space, film content, do the work. Jed's cackling recap of last night's FaceTime (sleep mask on, Fugs pillow hugged, Lucanets poster in frame) gave way to Rocky at full volume, with a sheepish "sorry, I'm Italian" [42:40].
[43:08] Sabbath absolution. Dan opened his weekly-recap update with an apology to Lee for leaking build alpha internally β "I bend thy knee and I wish for the Burning Bush's forgiveness" β and Lee granted it on a technicality: "You're lucky it's the Sabbath, bro... you're taking advantage of that" [43:53]. Lyss promptly renamed the space Sunday Reflection in Dan's honor [44:12] and declared the couple reunited.
[56:19] The serious stretch. chazzgold.eth talked about people splayed out on Portland sidewalks and how this room changed his habit of walking past β he now stops, checks, hands over a snack or a few bucks. Jed followed with his own history: getting sober is his proudest accomplishment, most people don't choose the first wrong turn (back surgery, oxys, then worse), and empathy costs nothing [57:37].
[1:18:00] Celeste takes the hot seat. Thirty seconds, purple vibes, BTC and ETH holder but "SOUL is my soul," a stated allergy to overdoing anything, and a closing inventory of chilled beers, scotch and chicken β with a quick apology in advance to the chicken wizard [1:19:11]. Lee played her out and sent everyone to the Bills game.

Worth a full listen
- [30:59] β [40:14] β The Regen Noir "kidnapping" trial, the cat-with-fries filler chapter, and then Lee turning it 180 degrees into straight advice for founders. The tonal switch is the whole point and a summary flattens it.
- [56:19] β [59:07] β chazzgold.eth and Jed on homelessness, addiction and how easily the wrong turn gets taken. The most grounded five minutes of the space.
- [1:18:00] β [1:20:41] β Celeste's 30 seconds and Lee's send-off. Fast, funny, and a good demo of why the Hot Seat format works.
